Hi... I started a support group for parents with Lyme Disease who are have healthy children , are trying to have healthy children (by treating during pregnancy) or are thinking about having children.

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ParentsWithLD/

My man and I both have Chronic Lyme and are expecting a baby in January. I'm following a very strict abx protocol via Dr. B and will not be breastfeeding. I started the group because I feel that in the future as more young women become educated about their Lyme Disease (and more contract it) they will want support from others who want to have children safely.

Thanks for reading!

Jen

WONDERFUL IDEA!

I'm not in a relationship right now but the thought of getting pregnant sometime in the future crosses my mind and I have tons of questions, as I imagine many more lymies in their child bearing years have.

Great move!
I'll be sure to check it out!

Ciao,
Stella

By the way..... good luck with your pregnancy!!!

What is abx protocol? I've been on and off antibiotics for almost 9 years now. I just got married, and my husband and I are talking about kids, but I am afraid they could be born with the disease. I've only been off my most recent round of antibiotics for three months, and despite my best efforts, I've never stayed in remission for very long. What can I do?
