Hi,I don't like to see a post unansered ,so I will say.Hi,I hope he can row real hard but will that make lyme look like it isn't so bad if he does? MADDOG

MADDOG: Lance Armstrong had cancer. Didn't he give hope to cancer patients.
I don't think it hurts us. All we have sometimes is the hope that we have left to get better.

But I remember when Christopher Reeve did a spot during the superbowl where a computer made him walk. He thought it would bring hope to people in wheelchairs. I thought it was a great idea. But he got blasted by handicapped organizations saying he was being cruel to give people false hope! (what a poor attitude).

I think seeing lyme patients doing well will give hope to others. So many lymies were very active and want to be so again.

Hearing that folks got well gave me hope. Physically my lyme is all but gone. The exercise needed to get well has me in better condition than I was 4 years ago.

I'm well enough that I'll be racing at the J-24 World's next month in Conneticut. I hadn't hoped to be this competitive again.

Hi Kara !

Early this am 3:15am est. to be exact ! While watching tv news on CBS low and behold is a story on none other than Jason Read !

If I hadn't seen your post about this I would have switched the channel !

The interviewer went into how Jason is on the Olympic rowing team and how exactly that came about, after not making it in 2000.

FYI...Jason was also a member of his local (Jersey) First aide squad who responded to 911 in the after hours......

Story went on to say how Jason was up in NYC by midnight of the event and managed to spend 5 days with no sleep up there searching for any survivors, etc.

Story than turned to how he returned to college and had a hard time........they only touched on this subject, but did say it was due to Post Tramatic Stress Syndrome .

As I waited for them to say anything else about his condition , they seemed to cut it short..........hmmmmmmmm!

Just thought I'd pass it on
