I emailed him. his email is [email protected]

I hope this is a legit email. i got it from www.michaelmoore.com and it says it is the official website for michael moore

as someone mentioned b4 he may be making a documentary on our health care system. as much as I don't like this guy, he is a media monster. his documentaries reach a lot of people, and many people (particularly the misinformed) believe the things he says on his documentaries, true or not. i guess any mentioning of lyme would be GREAT for us. I have had a change of mind about the mentioning of lyme in his documentary. maybe if we bombard this guy with lyme stuff he will put it on his movie. we could use the same strategy we are using for pataki in NY

I respectfully, but stromgly disagree.
Because of the situation specifically with Lyme, I do not feel it is one of those things where "there is no such thing as bad publicity".

We have to be very careful who "brigns things to light"..and exactly how they do it.

I don't think we can afford to have Lyme become a Partisan issue.
(and this is coming from a way lefty.. )

But more out of concern for the very fragile and intricate problems at the core of LD specifically, I think any slant, or any untold part of the story, or any party line being drawn because Moore has so many politically based critics, could
be of huge detriment to our cause. We need this story to be presented as straight forward and very accurately. We need Republican and Democratic support, in both the medical community as well as the political arena.

The straight and complete truth is very compelling, and we can't afford to have any biases attatched to it through a controversial producer.

We need someone to tell the straight truth on this story, it's too big, too detailed, and would effect too many people, and childrens lives.

Grassroots activism has made great strides, but the situation is still very fragile.

I think something on HMO,s and insurance denials and how that effects MANY illnesses including but not limited to Lyme (Cancer, AIDS, and more) would be great, and I think he would be great at exposing something along those broader lines.

My opinion as a Lyme activist.

Plus someone as big as Micheal Moore, out there telling the truth about this crappy designed epidemic, will make too big a target.
I personaly think he is a breath of fresh air, but would probably get worn out taking a bus trip with him.
If anyone could get to the bottom of all this, it would take a Micheal Moore and ten of his clones.
