Hello out there. I've been hanging around and usually get an answer to a question by just reading the info here but,,,I'm trying to get rid of the yeast inside me.

I know from reading "The Yeast Connection" that i have had yeast since childhood. It is not bad but i know it's there in my body. I'm not on any prescription drugs for it right now but about once a month i take diflucan for a week.

I have been battling this Lyme since 1998 (dont know how long i've had i).

So, How can i go after the Lyme with heat when the yeast Love the heat?

Take Care and Thanks, Helen

Morning Helen-

I didn't know yeast like heat.

I have been soaking at 105 almost daily for years to help get rid of my lyme.

I started an anti-yeast diet and probiotics with the beginning of abx 2 years ago. I have only minor yeast flares( when I eat bread mostly), and much less trouble with yeast than before the diet change, abx and heat.

My guess is that the change in diet is more important than avoiding heat in yeast management.

I hope my experience is helpful.

Mel

I started taking primal defense, using grapefruit seed extract, Jasons healthy mouth toothpaste and I no longer have the white stuff on my tongue...

LLMD even told me I must be following a very strict diet. Well I do cheat occasionally but have no problems... My cheating is more in the chips and dip department and I do not eat sweets.

I still take regular probiotics and sometimes open a capsule and sprinkle it on my tongue after brushing my teeth. I mix 5 drops of GSE in with decaf tea or home made lemonaid using stevia as the sweetner.

The jasons toothpaste takes a little getting used to as it has tea tree oil in it but my mouth looks better than it has even before I starting all the meds.
Stacey

Oh yea, I stopped taking the nystatin too.

Thank you for the replies. Yes I think the change in my diet is doing well for me. I couldn't believe how much sugar i was eating a day until i looked at every item i ate and added up the amount of grams of sugar i ate a day....

The book i read said that yeast likes a warm invironment, So i don't know if looking into the sauna things or anything heat related would be a good idea for me.

Mlkeen, how long do you soak a day?

Well i do take acidophilus and garlic for the yeast. Thanks again for the replies.Helen
