I know the old song says "We will not be Moved", but, alas, it seems pressure is moving us again. Let's go OFF TOPIC Now. I moved a thread over there already.
If you want prayer, come. If not, please, respect those who want to fellowship without a fight. Hey, I got enough bad vibes in my nervous system from the 'ketes, I don't need them attacking my spiritual life too.
If this doesn't work, we can start a yahoo group or something for prayer, but though we all love to communicate and research together on Lymenet, this just seems like a logical place.
I hope this works out. I have a burden for my brothers and sisters here on Lyement who haven't been able to go to church. been there. I have had dark nights of the soul too. Having 'em now. We can help each other out spiritually as well as physically. the advice and news I get on this site is amazing. I don't want to give it up! Let's restore some hope by working together. Let's draw closer to Him by drawing closer together. Thanks, Michael

Michael,
I just wanted to thank you for being such a good sport and moving the prayer group to a more appropriate location. I would have thought that General would be fine but I am only one person.
I too believe strongly in the power of God to answer our prayers but I pray privately, and in a different way.
I wish you and your prayer group the best and would certainly not be pleased if people bother you on Off-Topic.

I find it ironic that this thread about prayer, which IS a support, and to many, a healing modality, has been moved out of medical and now out of general support. SUPPORT, hello?? Earlier this year there was a rip roaring discussion about other healing modalities, such as rife, ICTH, and some sort of "harmonic essences" or something. The concensus was, i believe, to leave those alternative treatments in medical or general, even though many people did not think they are legitimate. Sow how could prayer get pushed right out??

Call me a pain in the butt,go ahead but.....I never recall Jesus tuckin his tail between his legs and runnin off to hide in a corner when some one didnt like what he was sayin. He was not flexable, not AT ALL. It IS Godly to be peaceful, but I do recall Jesus showin a bit of righteous anger that didnt even resemble flexability in the slightest. When some one says to me, an American and a Believer "Hey you need to go some where else to pray or talk about Jesus." I AM NOT FLEXABLE! Miss Lisa in Arazon who "Didnt feel it belonged there." Should have SOB Skiped On By the post along her marry way. Im sure many of the Pharisees didnt feel Jesus belonged in "There" temple and holy land preaching his "Off Toppic" material. He didnt leave now did he? I will Never tolerate beig told "go somewhere else to talk about Jesus." Never. This is America One Nation Under God!
BarelyBreathin, but thanks to JESUS still here!

Personally, I think things like this is why the world is going down the tubes like it is.
It's so funny that we care so much about offending other people, other cultures, other religions, etc, yet we allow Christians to be the ones persecuted. Noone cares about offending us, making us change our traditions or the way we pracice our religion, etc.
Just look how they want to take God out of everything possible in the US.
It seems that we care more about what an Athiest belives when it comes to God being in the Pledge of Alliegience or something like that than what a Christian believes.
It is just not politically correct to believe in God or to even speak of Him.
I believe one of the reasons people dislike Bush is because he makes it a point to let everyone know he is a Christian.
Just like Christmas. Why do we have to worry about offending others and say 'Merry XMAS' or 'Happy Holidays'? Jews are still allowed to say Happy Hannukah.
Another example, they are continuing to add other religious holidays in the public schools but Christians aren't supposed to be celebrating 'Christmas' but 'Winter Break' in the public school system...
Look at all the bad things that were said about Mel Gibson's movie about Jesus. If it had been about Satan or Charlie Manson or someone other than Jesus, it would not have been so controversial.
Personally, I really think I became ill when I did because I was so unhappy and unsatified with life.
It wasn't until I was sick and scared that I realized exactly how much I had in my life. It wasn't until I became ill that I started to appreciate life and the people in my life. I was really taking everything that God gave me for granted. I was so unhappy and ungrateful and bitter. Now I realize how blessed I have been and how much God loves me.
Maybe it's more about attitude. Maybe I just like to look at things in a more positive light. Maybe my way of coping is to be thankful that I've finally realized how blessed I am and maybe someone else will take the same situation and prefer to look at it as there is no God or look at how terrible God has treated me....
All I know is that I've been happier since being sick and I feel more blessed since becoming sick (not that I'm not in pain or annoyed with doctors or wish I wasn't ill).
Since coming to terms with everything I've started praying again and going to church again and you know what??? My symptoms have only gotten better and I feel more at peace than I've ever been.
Is that just a coincidence? Who knows. But I know what I believe in and that is all that matters....

I am hoping we can put this to a vote..
off topic just doesn't seem like the place for a prayer group..this is geneal support and prayer is a form of support, is it not?
I think General is more appropriate. I won't be going to off topic for personal reasons, but I do plan to go to the web site and join that prayer circle.
Please check out our off topic prayer circle regardless. Just scroll down past the other stuff. There's so much politics there, I think it needs some fair and balanced religion in there too!
I posted something interesting there just now. Please, guys, let me know what you think.

I did NOT miss quote you Lisa In Arizona "I didn't think it belonged there" is what you said and I was referring to leaving the medical section as you were when I said "Miss Lisa in Arazon who "Didnt feel it belonged there." Should have SOB Skiped On By the post along her marry way." Open minded of others veiws? No,Christianity isnt about open mindedness. Its about loving one another, which is the greatest challenge, especially loving those we dont see eye to eye with. Jesus was very single minded One God, One Savior, One way to Salvation and didnt keep an open mind when he knew what was right and wrong. Just because some people dont agree with you doesnt mean they dont have class, you have been quite snide yourself in your posts which isnt all that classy. Me, I never claimed to have class LOL. Dont much care about it. Im not PC just tell it like I see it and get an earfull back lol. You seem to ride a mighty high horse calling others on here ignorant. To you some people may be, to others you may be. To me we ALL are at times. Oh and every president has been christian? LOL.. ok.. yeah.. well if you say so. Christian is not just a label. There are many people who call them selves christians and sit in church who are not really christians at all so.... whos to say if Kerry, Bush or who ever is. The fruit of the spirit is one way of guessing, but then again some are in infancy in there walk with Christ and can act like a turd and totally unchristian, so no one can be for sure. And if your thinking BarelyBreathin must be in infancy in her walk cause shes surely a turd LOL well....I should be matured by now spiritually, but I got slowed a bit by this damn bug. Ya know.. wanna scream mean things when I shouldnt n all.. lol and im just a tad turd by nature anyway hehehe Ok but this is all gettin boring even for me, ive said what I think and really do just hope ALL of us through Prayer, Meds, Love, The Natural, or whatever mean Just come out of this thing in one happy peice. I wish you well too Lisa truely, as Im sure you wish even us who dont see eye to eye with you well. Peace lol And Health.

I'm not picking a dog in this fight....but I've been on here a long time and we've had prayer get togethers on General Support and some on Off Topic. The moderators don't seem to have a problem with it being in either place.
I prefer to see it in General Support myself, as I think it's pertinent to some of us in the support area, and you would be suprised at how many don't go to Off Topic for any reason.....you'd also be suprised at just who gets involved in the mass prayers, as in many do.

Did I say anything about Kerry at all? I don't think I did.
Let's see. NOPE, nothing about Kerry.
My freakin point had NOTHING to do with Kerry.
This is the reason why people like me don't like LymeNet anymore.
People make a big deal out of nothing. People take things out of context. When someone is simply making a point and NOT coming down on anyone themselves, someone turns around and takes their words out of context and attacks them.
People are just so negative on this board now. It makes no sense for me to even post anymore.
Very few have followed us to our new home on OFF TOPIC. What? is this the wrong side of town or something? Hey, now, that I live in rural Georgia, it takes an hour drive for a decent cup of coffee. One and half hours for Thai food. There is no excuse, guys!

Okay Hobo,
I'll go to Off Topic and check out your thread, but I have been in off topic world recently and it is very political and very negative.
And I promised myself that I wouldn't go back there until after the election. But I'll make an exception for you
Also I just wanted to say that someone in another thread critized me about my Christianity.
They wanted to know how a good Christian could feel the way I did about a certain democrat.
My reply was:
I AM a Christian.... I never claimed to be a saint.
