No clue where lymed - grew up in East Texas (Longview) area. Played in the woods, rode horses, chased boys, rodeoed -- tick biteswere a daily activity (we called them seed ticks)- don't remember any bulls-eye and was basically healthy as a kid.
Moved to Huntsville in 1981 for college.
Moved to Houston in 1984 and experienced what we always thought was the initial illness after ingesting raw milk at the Borden lab.
After years of illness, diagnosed 1999 and on abx ever since. Doc now thinks maybe infected as kid but, immune system managed until I became ill in 1984.
Subsequently, have passed it to Hubby and kiddo.
We never left Texas until finding out the child was ill so, now we've traveled to CT where it "alledgedly" began!!
hmmmmmmmmmmmm - definitely no lyme in Texas!! We're just living some realistic nightmare!!!

Spent plenty of my summer vacations while growing up in East Texas, Pittsburg and Winnsboro area. That is where I believe I got LD or simular disease, which would be treated the same. I am 53.
Or, I got bit while living in the Tropics in St. Croix, by the Tropical Bunt Tick...either way got bit both places and it's a toss-up as to whether I got LD in Texas or in St. Croix.
Lots of Lyme in Texas, LOTS!!! Did not they start a Lyme Commission there? I believe so, so the powers that be know that Texas definitely has Lyme Disease.

I'm late (not unusual). I just found you. Infected - who knows where - I've been in Texas over 20 years, sick 7, and diagnosed 5 months ago. I'm glad to see all of you. Yea!!
