Hi everyone! I have had one heck of a time getting back on to lymenet. I've sent out APBs to several members and they were kind enough to offer suggestions of how to get back on here (thank you, thank you!!!). And a few of you (yes you Cave and TC) totally fractured my funny bone!!!! My computer was severely infected - abx were of no use LOL. Once cleaned up, I got a weird formatting of this board.
It's been several weeks since I've been here and just on a hunch, decided to check in to see if the board was still coming up weird for me. I haven't been feeling the best and not really up to downloading something that might help me get back here. Well I don't know what happened, but I can get back on - at least for now. Don't know how long it will last, but whew! I'm home!!!!!
Like the others who have posted here, I can't get into medical yet either, but I'll take what I can get.....
So, how are you all??? I will go thru some of the old threads to see what is what. I've plateaued. I was responding great on biaxin and tini, but then nothing. So now I'm on flagyl to get acclimated and then will probably have biaxin added in. I'm creeping closer and closer to IV which is discouraging, but I'll be a brave soldier if that time does come....I've been on the flagyl just a week today and am experiencing more fatigue and this annoying brain itch. So I think for right now it's stirring things up....
My boys are both 'official' lymies. My older one has been put on Ketek and I am happy (?) to say is herxing. My younger son also has bart, so the doc is switching his meds for treating that. I hope he will be feeling lousy soon....
Well all this excitement has me in need of a rest! Hope to chat again soon!!!!! cootiegirl

Hey Cootiegirl, glad you could join us again. As I am sure you have lots of catching up to do.
I am just real frustrated about the medical thing, but maybe in the morning it will be up.
I also have had my two girls and myself dx'd since you have been off, I think.
We are seeing Dr. C in MO. and are on about the 4th week off treatment. I have herxed a little, not sure about the girls. I actualy think my 7yr old "ADHD" daughter is doing better. But, we will see, still early on.
My husband came home on leave a 3 weeks ago from Iraq and was tested also. Awaiting results.
Well, that is all for now, see you tomorrow.

Hey Amanda! I'm glad to hear that your daughter is showing some improvement. The ADD stuff is what got me wondering about my own kids. And the more I was learning about lyme, the more I started to question.
We see Dr. J for the kids and I have to agree with what the others say, he is an absolute blessing to our kids. My boys were immediately drawn to him. My older son gets Dr. J chuckling because he tries to negotiate the size of the pills he's to take (has a horrible time swallowing pills) and the number of tubes of blood the doc need to have drawn LOL!
You too are in very good hands, and I will keep all of you in my prayers. cootiegirl

Hey Eyez! Nice to meet you. No we haven't 'met' yet. If I do end up going the vein route, I will certainly be picking your brains for info! cootiegirl
