Hi Gang,What a lyme story this is.I have a worker comp case pending for shoulder repair.I had to get a lawyer to try to win. However before the lawyer I bit back at a doc. hired by the ins. company that underwrights workers comp.,I thought was going to slash my throat.I sent him the following EMail Hi,Let me introduce my self Doc..My name is Michael Bowser Claim number 04-806101.I am not a piece of crap you can order to be somewere at a given date and time. The letter was stupid in a free country and looks like I live in a dictatorship and third world country , not the USA. I am a patriot ,freedom fighter, with an IQ of 138,and a bit of a redneck.I have tourets syndrome, and A.D.D..That is why I am an auto teck. and not a doctor myself. The school system failed me,no one got it ,one year I wone the county science fair the next year flunked out of general math. The system doesen't work. I learned to loveThoreau, and in the woods no one was there to make fun of my shaking and grunting. So While in the forest I got these bugs on me,little tiny bugs. They were deer ticks,I thought they were fleas. I showered them off and went home.A week lator my belly turned red and I found 3 of the little buggs in my navel .I pulled them out and dumped peroxide in there.I was infected with lyme disease and Babesia ,it was 6 years before the docs. found out why I was in so much joint pain.Ha ,My ins company at the time ,pre aproved two visits to a lyme specialist in cincinnati.I got a hickman cat. and 3 months rocephin, with a home health care company.I could not see the lyme doc.without paying him myself,so I wound up with a pluged gallbladder and yeast so bad I allmost died. The ins, company caused me to allmost die. I was on rocephin with no doc..The length of time was not enuf ,I relapsed.I was allmost on my own fighting the lyme, I took farm animal antibiotics just to live.No dock. would treat me here because ins. companies have intimidated them, not wanting to pay for my long term treatment.I went to a lyme doc. in Penn.for awhile .He had a seisure and is not to with it now,it was caused by lyme.I have worked for years in pain pushing myself to keep going, terrible pain.Herniated disk from work,I didnt file a comp. claim, then .Over and over I reinjured the back at work I never filed. They called me bad back Bowser there. In Jan. this year i was lifting a hood on a car,the hood struts were bad, there was ice frozen on the hood, adding weight. I got it allmost all the way up and terrible back pain hit,I droped the hood, everyone was looking at me .I allmost broke the grill off the hood.My back stoped hurting, but my right shoulder felt like there was a dagger stuck in it. Look at the claim ,you will see how this thing has gone.I don't like my doc. he should have known it was a glenoid tear and not just impengment, and changed the diag. early on.I listened to him and took cort. shots knowing that they would make the lyme go out of control.I took a chance anyway to stop the shoulder pain.It did stop for about two weeks. My lyme went out of control I was allmost blind and raging in june.I found out that benzathine penn. deep intramuscular shots would help.My family doc. would not give me them.An interinst would not do it,the internist tried to find a infectious doc. to treat me,no doc. would treat my lyme.To scared of the ins company.I got the Bicilan from a vetrinary supply and 100 surenges I learned to inject my self .It is tough to do but my eyes are real good again, and I am not raging. The docks are now ducks to me ,they Quack real lowd. They took the hipicritic oath. You are a doc that works for the ins company. Were do you think that puts you in my eyes??? MADDOG Well!! I got a lot of attention after that.My lawyer firm sent me an email today requesting a meeting to disgus the Email.no not just the lawer that works for the giant firm but one of the main 3 big lawyers there. Hey...

Sounds like you have gotten SOMEONE'S attention!

Sounds like good news!

Don't forget to print out a copy of Quackwatch... old buttheads article where he talks about you having to take animal antibiotics to survive.

Since he is a duck... with obviously NOTHING better to do.. and has bothered to hang out spying at sites meant for patients who are looking for assistance...

Use the article he so nastily wrote to your advantage!

Might help?

I hope so!

I wanna hear back once you have been to the meeting... OK?

Oh... if your lawyers need any medical abstracts or documentation for your case...

Please ask me to help with that task and volunteer my services.

I am free.. and it would be MY pleasure!

Later gator!

Geez, Maddog, can you go back through and put in some white spaces? This is accomplished by hitting that Enter key, TWICE, every now and again...like paragraphs.

Thanks,

Rosemary

Boy MADDOG that is quite a letter. I hope & pray you continue to get results. Looking forward to an update on your meeting with the lawyers.

Tincup.. you offered to help MADDOG with medical abstracts & documentation. Would you mind posting or sending me an email with recommended abstracts to put into an insurance appeal letter?

There is so much information it's hard to determine what would be effective. I have written my appeal letter (after reading MADDOG's mine is too nice!)and I am waiting on my Dr.'s medical necessity letter.

Been under care of ID MD with Lyme experience for 16 months on orals..been regressing for several months.....Dr. is recommending IV therapy....maybe as long as 6 months..insurance will only precert 28 days.

I believe there are other people in the same boat as I....perhaps a separate thread for recommended documentation based on your wealth of experience. Something to wake these insurance companies up!!!
