My daughter helped sort through some things so that I had an objective view. I REALLY can't stand even knowing the stuff is in the house. She's mad, though, because I threw out all the odd socks and then found the match a couple days later.

I have had a loss of feeling and attachment for certain people, too. Mainly my caregivers. I am hoping my feelings of affection will return as I get better.
It helps to know what to tell the doctor.

It is nice to know I'm not alone.

I wrote some in the other thread about the extreme time with my son, but also..

he felt this detatchment toward all others, even his baby sis (who he adores) for many months pre and during intensive therapy.

It (the affection) has all returned.

I felt this toward people, too, and allot of times felt detatched or "under water"..just not caring. Not caring that I wasn't caring, and even being constantly annoyed at others for needing to communicate with me at all for any reason.

Kinda know what you are saying, and it will come back, and you will see it more clearly then.

This is the hardest part..the way our minds are effected by the infections.
