Another question for ya.

Are people with lyme hyperreflexic and do they have clonus?

My family dr today said that I was very hyperreflexic in my legs (right side worse) and that I have several beats of clonus in right ankle.

anyone else?

I'm not dx'd

Debbie

I have clonus, left > right leg.
I also want to know if anyone else has had this issue. I am not yet diagnosed with lyme, either.

It gets more pronounced when I have caffeine and/or sugar.
My neuro thinks I have ms(neg lyme titer),
but I have a history of circular red rash.
Unfortunately, since it wasn't a bull's eye, I ignored it. Never showed an MD, no pics. Oh well.
This is why I want to see Dr. C.

Hi Kathy,

I don't know your story, but I'm seeing a MDS at CC in Nov.

I do have a test kit for lyme coming tomorrow or next day from Igenex. Hopefully results will be in before I go to CC.

I have been tested for ms so many times through out these 9 years. Always neg results.

I'm being tested for Myasthenia Gravis one more time in the next few days ( been tested 2 or 3 times already)

So, I'll see what happens.

I don't remember ever being bitten or seeing a tick, but when I was little I had a rash and my mom said it was ringworm. I never went to the drs about it.

Take Care
Debbie

Luv2read,
Check out this web page--very interesting!
Lots of clonus references with Lyme. http://neuro-www.mgh.harvard.edu/forum/LymeDiseaseF/painandLymedisease.html
