I need a different attitude so I thought I would do a post on gratitude.
But, it looks like I need a hand up in this area.
Hopefully someone will come along and share some gratitudes.
If someone where to look at my wrong today, I kind of think I would either break down in tears or throw a mean right punch as hard as I could followed by a left and then a right.

I'm grateful that my family took me in .... otherwise I'd be living in a cardboard box....
I'm grateful I found my llmd... because I was so close to being wheelchair bound when my dr got me.
I'm grateful that my pain management dr. is actually helping me....without his treatment I would not be able to get up off the couch at all or open a can.
I'm grateful for my cat... because he doesnt care that I cant work or clean or cook or much of anything else....he loves me anyway.

I am grateful today because I made an appt for my boyfriend and I to see an LLMD in NC. They are covered under our insurance as well!!!!!
I am grateful for my boyfriend because he has been there for me when I was down or needed to vent. I am happy to say that I do the same for him as well. Who would have thought that two lymies would find each other and fall in love? HA HA!!!!
Azure Wish.....I am partially stealing this idea from you.... I am very grateful for my cat as well. He loves me unconditionally no matter what shape I am in. He still expects to get his wet food each morning though. We have a mutual understanding in that area. HA HA!!

I'm grateful we started in our house with three of us very sick from lyme , bart adn babs..and have moved along nicely. mY daughter is off to college this year, and doing great without abx..my son is off abx and doing well, and I am almost there.
this is after just about three years of hell and then some! so I am grateful to our llmds , their knowlege, this board and all the wonderful people on it who have helped me, and continue to help me everyday with questions i need help with, and neverending love and support..
adn grateful to god for giving me the strength to fight this battle for myself and my kids when I felt like i couldnt' fight another day....
IT's a good day today...

Since 2001, I have made dramatic improvement. I owe this to a physician who listened, to the makers of Zithromax, and also to my family and friends who have stood by me throughout this battle.
I never understood the handicapped, until I had a handicapped child.
I never understood what it was like to be heavy until I weighed 280 lbs.
I never understood grief until my children died.
I never understood pain until I was burned 60% in a house fire.
I never understood perseverance until I lost 150 lbs.
I never understood desperation until I was infected with Lyme Disease.
I never understood gratitude until I no longer had to take medication for Lyme.
I never understood trust until I lost my job.
And I never understood my future until I decided to go back to school to be a nurse to work critical care burns.
But most of all I never understood how fortunate I was to have family and friends who care.

Kara, you have been thru an amazing amount of awfulness. Not sure i would be able to feel grateful under those circumstances.
Always thought I was an empathetic person, but have found that I did not truly understand until it happened to me. Feel a little embarrassed at this, but it helps me see that other people can't be expected to do what I couldn't do myself.

I am grateful that every morning when I get up..
If I need anything.. a smile, a hug, a kind word, or even a job to keep me busy and keep my mind off my own troubles...

I am grateful that I am able to drive my little girl to school in the mornings.Could not do it for soooo long.Heck,I ran into a tree in front of my house during the really bads days.
I am grateful that the laughter in my family is returning.
My family is grateful to have their mother back.

also
- my husband, who didn't "come around" to understanding lyme and wasn't very understanding or helpful AT ALL during the years I was undiagnosed and sick. Once HE got diagnosed, yep! he's been wonderful! I would never wish lyme on anyone, but I often wished he could "understand" ! Bingo -positive w.b. NOW he gets it
- Dr. Jones (nuff said!)
- My family on both sides
- my best friend and just 2 other friends who didn't drop me like a hot potato when I got really sick. Good riddance to all the other "friends" I used to have.
- The internet (thanks Al Gore! ha ha ha) esp. Lymenet. You saved my family.

i am greatful for this thread and all the posts... good to stop and think.
i am greatful to all here who have offered me support that i needed whether it was information or encouragement.
i am grateful to my boss who gave me one of those flax seed and herb filled neck pillow thingy (that you put in the microwave or freezer) when i had to quit working.
i am greatful that my dh is understanding (for the most part) about this disease, and especially to him for getting me (us) a hot tub!!
i am greatful that dh has a good enuf job that we are not suffering because i am not working.
