hi, i'm new here, and i have no idea if i have lyme or not; i have yet to see a doc about it.
i don't recall being bitten by a tick, or getting a rash. if i do have lyme, i suspect i got it from my cats; i wasn't always up on their frontline treatments.
i don't have all the characteristic symptoms of lyme. i did get really sick sometime in may with the worst cold i've had in forever; but it really felt like a bad cold, severely congested, etc, and not the flu; i didn't have a fever or anything. not sure if this is related, but then in june i began developing bladder symptoms without infection. i was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis by symptoms only and have been treating with a chinese herbalist; i also changed my diet drastically and have been improving slowly. i have really bad panic and depression also. i don't, however, have the aches/pains/strange neurological symptoms. what do you all think? does this sound like it could be lyme? or perhaps i'm just being paranoid, as i have a tendency to be. thanks, heather.

The only thing I can suggest is to go to the ILADS website and look at their symptom checklist. If you have several symptoms, then you might want to see an LLMD to get accurate testing for lyme. It would not hurt to get tested just to be on the safe side. If the test is negative, then you can feel more confidant knowing it has been ruled out. It is best to go to an LLMD though because they will be able to do the most accurate lab testing. This is all I can think to suggest. Good luck!

Here is my website where you will find lots of info and links to lots more.http://www.geocities.com/ldbullseye/
If you go to the menu on the left of this page you will find lots of good links including support groups.
If you need a doctor, you can go to "Seeking a Doctor" on this site and people will be very helpful.
I can't say you do or don't have Lyme disease, but you deserve to know. I hope you can see a knowledgeable, experienced doctor soon.

Thanks Kam. HA HA!!!! Before being diagnosed with lyme, I felt like I had gone crazy. It just became an inside joke for myself. Hey, if you can't laugh at yourself, then who can you laugh at?

Scroll down this page and go to the "Hop to" thingy on your right. Look through there and you will find "Seeking a doctor".
You should also see it on the menu at the beginning page before you click on "General Support" to come here.
