It seems that at least once a day, I have the following exchange with a friend or colleague (on days I actually make it to work):

Them: "How are you feeling?"

Me: "Well, not so great. It's been kind of rough this (hour, day, week, month, year). But thanks for asking."

Them: "But you look GREAT!"

Me: Uh, thanks?

I am so excited!! I mean, I NEVER looked this good when I was healthy! Or at least, no one ever noticed how fabulous I was then.

So next time you're feeling sorry for yourself, stop being so ungrateful. Some folks pay thousands for botox, peels, and various body part lifts. We get to look this good for nothing.

HA HA HA!!!!!! I went through this same routine when I went into work. I work from home now so I don't get those same compliments.

That is the bad thing about lyme - you may look good on the outside, but feel like complete hell on the inside. Too bad we can't show people that side of us. Of course, like might run away screaming for dear life.....
