Hi everyone

Sorry it has been awhile but ask Tincup she will tell you that I am a little slow!!

I have been off abx for about 2 years now (went to homeopathic doc after abx)) and everything is going really good. Every once in awhile I will crash. And by crash, I mean I will get a day where I am bone tired, I just take it easy and bum all day and I'm fine after that. Now it could happen every 8 to 10 weeks or so, which is not bad at all. I know another lymie who is better and has the same thing happen.

Anyway I am 4.5 months pregnant and so far so good. I have waited a very long time for this. The doc said to wait 6 months after abx but I waited 1.5 years to be sure.

Oh one thing I wanted to mention because I had never heard of this. We had taken my dog to a doggie opthamologist because he has this strange blue haze to his eyes. Our vet had never seen anything like it. The opthamologist said Lyme or Rocky Mountain. He has no other symptoms that we know of. Anyway he was treated with doxy for about 6 weeks than ceftin for another month. He has been lots more playfull & very peppy for a 12.5 year old dog. If you met him you would think he was about 5 years old.

Hope everyone is on the road to recovery

STay Strong
Ebby

Thanks for checking in and letting us know there is hope.

How long were you on abx? How debilitated did you get? HOw long did it take to get a dx?

How long was it before you started having a "normal" life?

Hope you don't mind all the questions.

Hi Ebby!! good to hear from you! I'm so glad you are doing well! Yipppeeee!!!

My dog had eyes like that, and I would suspect he had Lyme too. He died way before my finding out I had Lyme.

I would say it's Lyme or cataracts. But a vet should know what cataracts look like!

Any tips you can give us on staying well....or getting well would be appreciated! I'm doing great, but just now phasing out my abx.

Hope I can STAY off!

Hi

I'll try and answer you guys the best I can. Lets see it started in 1998 with exhaustion, dizziness & severe head & neck aches w/ nausea. This went on for about a year than other things started happening such as, night sweats, skin lesions, wrist pain (couldnt even turn a doorknob) was in a fog like state. Hubby said I would just stare & pace around. Extremly dry irritaed, gooky eyes and one thing that no one ever seemed to think was important. Swollen lymphnodes in the back of my next. My MRI showed lesions on the white matter of my brain but when I failed the MS tests they would dismiss me.

Anyway I guees it was 2001 that I was clinically diagnosed. I took doxy had a heck of a herx switched to Ceftin than added Flagyl. So I guess I was on Abx for about 1.5 years. I think one of the most important things is that I was weaned off abx over many months. Immediately I went to the Homeopathic because I had candida in my blood and got drunk whenever I ate. I than did a full course of detox (candida, mercury, parasites, worms, etc) with the homeopathic. Now he also did a whole lyme & co-infections detox. After all of that it was like WOW I remember this person.

Now I do a maintance with my homeopathic and I will go to him for everything before going to a regular MD. Gotta get your rest & watch what you eat, sugar feeds lyme, candida, etc. It just isn't good for you.

If I can help in anyway let me know

Stay STrong

Ebby

Hey Hey FLASH!

YIPPEEEEEE!!!

Good to see you, you litle fat momma you.

Congratulations on the baby!!

Do we know who the father is?

I was just talking about you the other day here.. and how your droopy ears would get wet while drinking out of a bowl of water on the floor!

hehehe

Good to hear you are doing well! I LUV that news!

Now.. for a serious talk.

I know if you have a girl you will name her Tincup.

BUT.. if it is a boy... hhmmmmmmmm??

I kinda like the name Honeysuckle Rose.. but that ain't too fitting for a boy, now is it?

I was also considering Roscoe P. Coaltrain as a name for a boy. After all.. that IS Flash's daddy's name. I am kinda big on tradition.

But.. I am not positive yet.. so don't be filling out any birth certificates quite yet.. ok?

Oh...

Do you like the name "Boss Hog" for a boy?

Just checking...

I sure do miss your smiling face round here. These new folks would too if they knew ya.

Please stop in often and let us know how it is going.

Maybe soon I will have picked out the right name for a little boy.

Boss Hog isn't probably the best choice... ya think?

Golly.. it is sooooooo good to see you!

Love to you and yours..

TC

Hi Ebby!
i remember you. such great news to hear that you are expecting! when i was pregnant, i used the "what to eat when you are expecting" from the what to expect when you are expecting series. i knew how to eat well, just did not know how much protien , ect.. to get. knew to only eat wholegrains, avoid sugar.... i gave my copy away years ago, but you can find it at most bookstores, the library or consignment shops.

would like to know who your homeopathic doc is. did you get your full 1 1/2 yrs abx treatment from the "baseball coach"? just wondering.

thanks for posting a success story!

Ebbyban!

Congratulations on the baby!

Congratulations on your health! I am right behind you! I was on abx for 5 years and was off of everything for 4 months before getting reinfected in September,(ugh), but, thanks to my doc, I am coming out of this one really fast! I too have been working with a alternative medicines, more specifically, homeopathy and the QXCI, bio-feedback! It is the true ticket to wellness, the combination of both Western and Alternative Medicines!

Isn't it wonderful to have a life again?!?!

Good luck to you, your future health and your baby! You have been blest!

JJ

Glad you're feeling well again.

Hummm, I get this drunk feeling sometimes when I eat and an almost constant lightheadedness is my only real remaining constant symptom. I'm wondering if Candida is holding me back from feeling well again. I'm so afraid of going on a no carb no sugar diet. I'm 6'1" and 142lbs. If I go on a yeast diet I will disappear! Do you have to cut all carbs or can you have some of those as long as they are "complex?"

You can have plenty of vegetables, which would be complex carbs. I would avoid peas, carrots, stuff with a high glycemic index....but you can have just about anything else green.

In my opinion, you cannot get well if you are taking abx and eating sugar and simple carbs, like potatoes and white bread, etc.

Candida symptoms are very much like Lyme symptoms, so you won't even be able to tell if/when you are "well" if you are ingesting sugar.

You can fatten up by eating almonds, cashews, stuff like that.

Sorry ebby for the digression here!

About those baby names....how about Fritz for a boy and Geraldine for a girl?
