Holiday Greetings to all my LymeNet friends!
Goodness, I have missed you all

Just a quick update...

Well, after three previous failures, I've made it through the term this time around in Grad school and with A's and a B at that. Seems like all I have been doing the last 4 months is sleeping and studying! Just one term left...

I have a month break now to try to catch up on all of the rest of life's little nuisances, like housework, emails, and bills! So, I am hoping to catch up here as well.

There sure are a lot of new names here...

Healthwise, I'm doing really well!
Just took a 30 minute walk, and then shoveled my sidewalk and driveway.
(a year ago, this would have seemed an impossible task!)

I have been off of IV treatments for about a month and a half, and am just doing orals now. What a nice change!

Because I am still experiencing a few symptoms, I'm not ready to call it quits yet, but, I do think the end of treatment is nearing closer and closer. Like many of you, I wonder if all of my symptoms will ever cease, but, I hang on to the hope that they will eventually.

I pray that all of you are feeling a bit better too, or at least doing as well as can be expected!

Would love to know how everyone is getting along...

My very best to each of you,
Melanie

Fantastic that you are doing so well, both with school and healthwise. Long may it continue!!

I remember that you were pretty sick when I joined here - I am glad you are now so much better.

To me, energy is/would be everything. I can live with some other symptoms (except vertigo), but with no energy/stamina I'm a lost cause.

Have a great holiday!

DLL

Great news, Melanie, and congratulations.

We've missed you around here!

Happy, happy holidays. And don't overdo on the shoveling, I don't want to hear that you've recovered from LD but now have a bad back....

Hi there Melanie,

Thanks so much for posting this. You must be one amazing individual to make it through grad school with so much company, ie, TBD's.

Can definitely relate to doing tasks that seemed insurmountable before. I had three great weeks and did a lot of catching up myself.

Hope you continue to get well and healthy and have a wonderful holiday!!

That means...
No more saline
No more heparin...
No more syringes...
And no more goofy dressing changes!

YIPPEE!

Now, WHO has the hot tub???

Hey Melanie, good to hear you're OK and can get rid of that rig...Maybe next canoe trip you can just jump in the river rather than get halfway in worrying about getting all that plumbing wet.

Did you ever fix the water problem in your house??

Jenny says Hi too.

Melanie,

Thanks for the update. I'm so happy that you are finally feeling better.

Didn't you have the online holiday party last year?

This year you can have a "real" party!!

Hey you sugar-plums!

It is so nice to see so many of you again!

Yes, WC, my brain is a bit fried right now...it was much more difficult than I thought it would be. But, it is almost over!

Hey, my river pal Charlie, and Jenny too! Great to hear from you guys again. It WILL be so nice not to have to worry about getting my ``plumbing'' wet !
Ya know, I still don't know what was wrong with my bath pipes, but I think it fixed itself! Thanks for asking. Hope you both are doing great!

Hi Peggy, Yes, I did host either Turkey day or Christmas last year for the gang, I can't remember now which...but it was fun wasn't it? Thanks for the sweet well wishes. Hope the boys are doing well?

Miss Tootsie Pop, I am waiting to hear your news!
