As I suspected, I guess...my IgeneX came back positive this week (one of two did, but for the life of me I can't remember which one...go figure).

So...my ND is gung-ho about getting me started on some protocol I swear she hasn't quite explained to me yet...I'm not sure if it's going to be strictly naturopathic or if it will include abx or...I really have no clue. But I see her on Saturday...

My problem is this. I really am not ready to jump head-first into something...anything...treatment-wise, emotionally, financially, or otherwise at this point. I'd at least like to wait till after Christmas.

Will two and a half weeks really hurt me?
Will I be any more ready then??

I know I'm getting worse...in one month my neuro symptoms have progressed to include a tremor in my hand on top of all the MS symptoms (I don't think it's noticible to anyone but me yet, but I am spending a lot more time with my arms crossed for "no reason in particular" these days!)

I'm just 25...I want desperately to keep working at my job, and maintain a semi-normal life at home with my significant other...but reading through everyones stories....I just don't know.

I guess I don't have a question...I just needed somewhere I could get that all off my chest...I feel like I'm keeping a lot in these days

Suvvyb,

Please remember that many of us had Lyme for years and years before getting diagnosed and treated. That's why our symptoms persist.

I can't tell you if waiting two and a half weeks would make any difference. I can understand you're asking it, though.

You'll have a better idea once you've discussed everything with your health practioner.

Hang in there, okay?

I think you answered your own question...you said that in a months time you got so much worse...then yes! \I think in another 2 and 1/2 weeks you could get alot worse again...

dont' forget you may not herx or feel that much worse until 3-4 weeks...so that's WAY after christmas!

If I had the choice , and could start abx sooner, because I found out sooner than I had ..I wounldn't waste a day of waiting....not with what i've gone through in the past 2 years with this awful disease.....

Hi Suvvyb,
Please do not wait 2 weeks. My husband was exactly 2 weeks from tick bite to first antibiotic treatment in the ER. He is still out of work and very sick with neuro symptoms after 17 months. Start treatment today so you won't be still sick next Christmas!
