Some months ago - I write asking if diet is important in the fight against Lyme. I received some wonderfull, helpful replies. My son (39) went thru 8 weeks of Rocephin during the summer and when he came off it his Lyme doctor and he decided to give treatment a "rest". My son went onto a sugar free/carb free diet immediately.
I cannot tell you the difference in him - he has lost weight - lost the ringing in his ears (he had to go off the diet for a few days during travel for work and really felt it) and general overall health much better. He sleeps at night with no help from medication. He is ever so grateful as I am too - for the help I acquired in this board.
He will go to his Lyme doctor the first of the year for tests to see where these "things" are - but he has felt the best he has in years. We are truly hopeful that at least this can be controlled. We doubt it can be cured from all that is read.
"Thanks and Happy Holidays to ALL !"
