Thought for the day....... "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. Lightfoot? Is that really you?
Bless your heart!
Every time I see this post I think .. wow... there is lightfoot. She started this so long ago. I sure do miss her and wish she was still here.
Little did I know,
I also see the HIGH number of posts on it and get scared to open it because often time is tight and I don't have time to "catch up" on the post like I would like to.
Now that I took a peek and see you, you dear one.. and one of my favorite things... inspirational and other quotes.... I will be sure to visit.

Thought for the day....... "There are no perfect human beings! Persons can be found who are good, very good indeed, in fact, great. There do in fact exist creators, seers, sages, saints, shakers, and movers...even if they are uncommon and do not come by the dozen. And yet these very same people can at times be boring, irritating, petulant, selfish, angry, or depressed. To avoid disillusionment with human nature, we must first give up our illusions about it." Thought for the day....... "An inventor is simply a person who doesn't take his education too seriously. You see, from the time a person is six years old until he graduates form college he has to take three or four examinations a year. If he flunks once, he is out. But an inventor is almost always failing. He tries and fails maybe a thousand times. It he succeeds once then he's in. These two things are diametrically opposite. We often say that the biggest job we have is to teach a newly hired employee how to fail intelligently. We have to train him to experiment over and over and to keep on trying and failing until he learns what will work." Charles F. Kettering
