Hey mountain girl...

Good to see you .. and your kind words of inspiration. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Thank you!

However...

Being a goose expert.. I might have to disagree with some of the technical things they said.

The reason geese honk while flying in formation is because of those other geese that are behind them.. not in front of them.

If you watch next time some fly overhead.. you will notice each time one honks.. it is because..

They got goosed!

HEY!

I KNOW this is so..

Because when someone gooses me.. I honk too!

OK.. I PROMISE... I am headed to bed...

Really!

Honk honk and hey diddle dee sweet pea.

Hey Melanie,

This is superb. Thanks so much. I think I'll pass it along to our North Texas Support Group Leader.

You probably already know, but this same storyline appears in the book, "Why Geese Fly Farther Than Eagles" by Bob Stromberg.

It's a compilation of (true-life...I think??)short stories you can read to school-aged children & beyond. It'll tug at your heartstrings-----no matter what your age is.

I read this book to my son so the book is over l0 years old. (Amazon.com sells used ones, but if you go to www.bobstromberg.com you can purchase new ones.)

Let's keep this at the top. It's super.

Take Care,
Jan

I have a girlfriend who said she got her best dating advise watching NASCAR.

She learned that the man who causes the wreck goes to the back of the line!

and remembered this post.

Enjoy! [Smile]

Much love, as always,

I hadn't seen this before. (The original post was from a few months before I stumbled in here.)

Thank you, Melanie! [kiss]

OH Boy...tears in my eyes.

I dedicate the above geese story to all those who helped get my Jazzy Power Chair up and running again on this lyme web site and to others who have seen a need that they could do something about and did it.

Melanie,

The Canadian Geese have been missing around here..I wondered where they went.

Sounds like they headed your way.
