do you all think that since i've been on abx's for 5 days that the results of western blot or any other test is more likely to show positive if my lyme has relapsed. 6 500mg amoxicillin a day? let me know........thanx amy

Not sure what you're asking. It's best to take abx for several weeks prior to the WB....but to be OFF abx for the two weeks immediately prior to the test.
There are two parts to the WB....IgG and IgM....one reflects a recent exposure and the other picks up on an old infection. I never can remember which is which...but this link will explain.

lymetoo.......i have had negative results with wb test except for one in 93 showed band 41 and two others positive. but since have had heart problems and arthritis and other problems too many to mention.......i think i email you and told you can't rember........but anyway been on abx for 5 days and wondered if my tests would more likely to show positive since all the bacteria where stirring and dieing........i know something is happening cause i'm running low grade fever and feel terrible......go to see llmd friday....so maybe i'll get an answer......thanx for replying ........amy
