YES - we stay every time we go to see him!!

It is a really neat place and everyone is very nice. I think it is still $15.00 a nite.

It is within walking distance to Dr. Jones office and there is also a rental car place another block down on the same road!

You have your own bedroom and there are shared baths - 3 to each floor I think. All the baths are handicapped accesible which was important for us!!

Here is the contact info. If you think you will want to stay there - you probably need to contact them asap. It is a "space available" type thing!! Granted, they have always had space when we contacted them but, I've never called this close to an appointment!!

We already made our reservations for our March 14 appt (about 2 months ago)!!

McDonald House
501 George St
New Haven, CT

(203) 777-5683

We leave next Saturday for our Monday appointment!! I'm kinda navigationally challenged and am so scared about having to drive from the Airport this time - especially w/ all the snow they've had!!! We were hoping there'd be someone else there to hang w/ since we will be there several days!!

We went to a GREAT pizza place last time we were there, if you want me to try to find the info about it - email me!!

[email protected]

Good luck w/ your appointment and w/ making reservations for your stay!!

Take care
Sherry

Hi! We love the Ronald McDonald House, too.
Very accomodating, clean, friendly, safe parking, etc. We walk from the house to Dr. Jones. It's only 2 short blocks.

The kids love staying there too. They love the bunk beds and the basement room. The kitchen facility and eating room are cozy and nice. It's such a blessing to be able to stay there. It's a HUGE cost saver and convenient, too.

You do have to vacuum your room and change your sheets when leaving, but that is a small "price" to pay for their hospitality. You also should do a small cleaning chore from the chore list, too, to help out.

There are plenty of bathrooms that are convenient to the rooms. There is an overnight volunteer who sleeps in one of the rooms in case of need.

By the way, we have our followup appointments on Monday the 7th as well! We have 3:00 and 4:00 appointments. Maybe we'll run into you in the waiting room!

You'll love Dr. Jones and his staff. What a godsend they all are

Blessings,
Leslie

P.S. We won't be staying in the Ronald McDonald House this time; we're going to stay in NY by the Palasades Mall in a hotel to make a "vacation" out of the trip, our first in years. The kids are doing much better now and we are looking forward to swimming in a hotel pool.
