Can anyone clue me in to approximate cost involved for intial consultation with a bio dentist? Have only one amalgam filling, but teeth are crumbling at breakneck speed. Also had a root canal that I had removed several years ago. Was one of the smarter things I did prior to my lyme discovery.

Gonna go to the bio dentist no matter what . . . just curious about the cost.

The one I went to was not anymore expensive than a regular dentist. Hope you find one like that!

I went to one in DC had one crown and 4other fillings redone. Cost about $1,400.

What part of the country are you in? I like my dentist and have heard of another very good biodentist. Email if you want names.

Hi Biting Back!!

I have been to several Bio Dentists and it depends what you are having done as to costs. I am having some porcelain crowns done with no metal. Zirconium will be used instead.....this is an expensive proposition...

Other procedures will probably be comprabable in cost to a regular dentist. It's important to be protected from the mercury when the amalgham is removed....so that's a good wuestion for the dentist as all bio dentists are not cut from the same cloth.

Yikes, why are your teeth crumbling?

Good luck and let us know the scoop, okey dokey?

Healing thoughts.....lightfoot

Thanks for all of the info. I can only conclude that my teeth are being destroyed from infections. Grinding the teeth doesn't help, either. Anyway, I've lost the enamel off of all of them, but dentists have always accused me of being bulimic. Geesh. If they had lyme as long as I have I guarantee they'd experience some gnashing of teeth.

Two of my front teeth kind of shattered a couple of months ago (more like disintegrated). What a blow to my self-esteem. To make matters worse, my son is getting married early next month. No smiling for this Mom! I'm in need of some extensive dental work on all my teeth.

I'm in the midwest and I'm probably going to make an appt. with a bio dentist in Omaha. Anyone been to see this one?

i found one in NJ who takes insurence! haven't made the appt yet, but my lyme doc says her sister goes to this dentist and likes him.

i've got 3 root canals - including one that another dentist bullied me into getting and several cavities with old fillings. and my kids teeth needs attn.

one of my kiddies did not get all of their teeth. was told it doesn't have anything to do with lyme though
