Kathleen Dickson, a chemist and mother who testified before the FDA about the dangers of the Lymerix vaccine (subsequently withdrawn from the market). In 2003 she sent the Dept of Justice a list of names of Steere camp doctors, scientists and CDC/NIH officials with evidence that they are guilty of deliberate scientific fraud.
Shortly after that she had her children removed by social services on false charges, and was subsequently jailed. At all stages of this nightmare there was evidence that members of the Steere camp were involved in her downfall; one described in detail an extremely serious false charge against her regarding her children several days before she heard it herself in court.
When she protestd about Steere camp harassment and involvement in her case, she was labelled paranoid and transferred to a psychiatric wing where she was involuntarily drugged, whilst Lyme treatment was withheld at all times, despite the protest and intervention of Lyme-literate doctors on her behalf.
Kathleen was conditionally released a few months ago. Several days ago a Steere camp provocateur informed her publicly that she would be going back to jail soon.
Today I understand that the police called her and are accusing her of breaking her conditions of release. It is very possible she may be re-arrested tomorrow.
What is the condition that they allege has been broken? Kathleen is forbidden to write "any opinions critical of Government without prior approval".

Exactly!
They have been able to do these things to her because she was one isolated indvidual on her own.
They cannot put all of us in jail, without increasing the attention on the things they want to coverup by 10,000%.

Would a bunch of LD people go and stay with her and call the t.v. stations--turn it into a media event? Sway public opinion? A mobe of crippled people at her house protecting her?
We need money so we could hire a p.r. company to figure all the media savey steps to take.

Linda, there's simply not enough time to do that as she is due to go to the police station within a couple of hours, however, if they decide to arrest her, then I agree, what's needed is some high-profile actions.
It should be possible to interest some of the civil rights organisations too, as she is being threatened with re-arrest for criticising the government, which is absurd in a country that claims to be the number one democracy.
This morning I received a note from Kathleen. She asked me to mention the following.
When she was first was dragged into court over the false child protection allegations (which were voiced on a Lyme newsgroup by known Steere camp troll "chuckpadams" several days before she heard the charges herself), Kathleen was taken aside by the Guardian Ad Litem after the hearing, who told her that "The State is watching this case very closely".
Why should they do that, if it was truly just a DCF case, nothing to do with political matters?

Just heard from Kathleen. She hasn't been arrested but she was too tired from the whole thing to explain any further. Guess she'll let us know soon.
Maybe somebody high up somewhere decided it would not look too good if a whole lot of Lymies started raising the alarm, especially when they released Kathleen Dickson on the condition of not writing anything "critical of government".
Hmmmmmm.

One of the doctors that testified at the Maryland hearing told me that they have to go underground with lyme over there. It is so bad everywhere lately.

Just heard from Kathleen. She is very grateful for the support of folks on Lymenet. She was ordered to appear before the Probation authorities, but as she was able to demonstrate that no material of a harassing or threatening nature to anyone, they backed off.
She did mail material that criticised a government official who caused her children to be taken away. However, it seems that, on this occasion, they decided not to jail her for "criticising the government without prior approval", and let her go home.
Is it true that Connecticut was named the "Constitution State"?
Well, no matter, things are not much more democratic here. Right now in the UK we're gearing up to hand over a fortune in taxpayers' money so that our Prince can marry in the style to which he is accustomed. This is a man who once said that the biggest ambition in his life was to be a Tampax.

I haven't heard of this story before, but if what's being stated is true, this lady would have one hell of a lawsuit.
Now, the government has certainly been known to harass and intimidate individuals, no question. However, this is beyond the pale, and so far from any Constitutional order or proceedings as to be laughable.
I'm sure the ACLU, and a host of other legal firms that act on behalf of citizens who've had basic constitutional rights violated, would be glad to jump all over this case.
It would be blatantly unconstitutional to issue an edict that a citizen "cannot criticize the government". Such a provision, if challenged, would be summarily dismissed as a blatant violation of civil rights.
Does this lady have an attorney ? If so, he/she must be the most incompetent lawyer, I've ever heard of. You can only be confined to a pysch facility if you're a danger to yourself or others, and only for a limited time, and with complete judicial review.
If there is a link to this story somewhere, or further information, it would be interesting to see. The ACLU would jump on this case in a heartbeat, as would dozens of other legal foundation's. This is tailor made for a lawsuit if true.

Thanks for posting the link to the previous post on this Lymerayja. Now, it's starting to make sense to me.
Essentially, we have a very ill woman, with not only Neurolyme, but autism as well. From the bureaucrats perspective, they have no knowledge of lyme, so they perceive her writings, and activism as some type of lunacy. Repeatedly targeting well known and respected doctor's, scientists, etc.
From the bureaucrats perspective, who are they going to believe ? Renowned doctor's, scientists, or some woman who sends these condemning letters, and talks of a conspiracy against lymies to enrich a small cabal of people. See the problem ?
The state feels she's a danger to her children, and her continual activism only reinforces the state's belief that she's mentally unstable.
Now, I'm not endorsing anything the state has done, but I'm trying to show how they're probably looking at the situation.
Lymerayja, you seem to have some contact with this poor woman. If your assisting her, or anyone else who reads this post that is assisting her, the first step is to get her competent legal counsel.
Public defenders are hardly the advocacy she needs. If someone lives in her area, write a letter to the editor of the local paper/s. A competent attorney may read it, and take the case pro bono. I would assume that she would fall under the protection of the "Americans with Disability Act". There's probably been several gross violations of this, as well as civil rights violations.
E-mail law firms in her area explaining her plight, many of the best law firms will provide legal help pro bono, to help to those that are destitute. Contact the nearest university's law school, as the professor and students may be actively engaged in pro bono law work.
Rather than Kathleen pursuing this case against the Steerites on her own, she could direct this to a group such as Judicial Watch, which is a group of attorney's devoted to uncovering governmental corruption. They don't throw these guys in "Looney bins" to silence them.
Do a google search on the ACLU, Judicial Watch, Pro bono legal work. This is the most important step. She needs competent legal help for her situation, and then a group such as Judicial watch, to carry the mantle of her fight against Steerites.
Keep us posted.

Some of your suggestions have been tried, others haven't. I will pass on to Kathleen the suggestions you and others have made, and btw thank you all very much.
Kathleen did ask me to clarify one thing regarding her recent episode with the authorities. As you know, when she spoke with the probation Authorities, they said the matter would be dropped as the police had cleared material she sent them and found nothing of a harassing or threatening nature in it. The probation authorities did not seem prepared to pursue the charge of violating her requirement to write nothing "critical of government without prior approval" (!) But what she asked me to point out, was that among the material deemed "not threatening and harassing", was a copy of the vey same material for which she was (officially, anyway) sent to jail, precisely because it was said to be "threatening and harassing". she sent it to her local police in order to argue her innocence. She finds this very ironic that they deemed it non-harassing, after she has just spent many long months in jail for exactly that.
