Hi. I am asking this question because husband Steve has been complaining of his "bottom" and legs hurting so badly. He said his lower back and hips hurt so bad that it feels like the bones are going to come through his skin when he sits. He said his legs hurt last night, too, and he couldn't sleep. This has been going on for weeks and he's done nothing to bring this on. Was wondering if it's Lyme-related or something else we should check into.

I can't say his problem is related to Lyme, but I sure know bone pain from Lyme. I used to describe it as cold, deep, marrow bone pain.

It was sometimes shooting pains that would stop me cold in moving any way.Other times it was like a severe toothache pain but in hips, knees, thigh bones and shins.

Lots of time tendon pain came with it.

I got some relief from taking high doses of ibuprofen. All of it disappeared after long treatments of antibiotics.

I sure hope he gets some answers and some help soon.

Ive had this off and on and its very uncomfortable. My arms will hurt right in the bone area and so do my hips and legs at times. For me I believe it is Lyme related. If he is unsure, he can always get it checked out.

A few years ago, I clearly remember tell my duck my bones felt like they had a bad case of the flu, but I felt fine. My bones actually felt sick and hurt.
Don't have that so much any more, just the mild arthritis and lots of weakness and numbness in hips and legs now.
thanks #1 duck~~~
Oh well~~ ifs' and buts' were candy and nuts, we'd all have a real fine Christmas

He may want to get a triple phase bone scan or a certec scan to see if Lyme is in the bone. I was told by a Hyperbaric nurse Medicare will justify Hyperbaric if this chronic osteomylitis diagnosis can be given.
