Hello folks from Texas,
I am posting this on support as i got no hits from medical. Help anyone?

I am battling Occupational Workers Compensation Program. i was bitten on the job while in the field, I am a biologist. The OWCP approved my claim, and now they want me to go to a second opinion doctor.
This doctor is an internist who specializes in bariatrics and weight loss.
I feel i may lose my benefits if this doctor says i do not have Lyme disease. I have a positive IGenex lyme report, above CDCs standards, but still feel there could be a problem of course.

My claims examiner and others in their group have been lying about various things that could make me lose my benefits.

I hear there is a lawyer in the Georgia area that works with OWCP and Lyme disease patients.

Can anyone give me that name or contact the person, or if he reads this post, please contact me at [email protected]

This may not look like a medical question but if this is not resolved i may not be receiving the medical treatment that i have been because i cannot afford it and/or the travel to my LLMD.

If i have to retain the lawyer's services then i must, but i have to ask what type of information do i give the second opinion doctor.

Acutally, this would be about the 4th opinion doctor, but OWCP is not recognizing any of the test results or the diagnosing doctor's opinion.

OWCP stated in their letter that i could have my doctor present at the appointment. What LLMD has the time to take off from their patients to travel to another doctors office.

I just cannot fathom OWCP's thinking, or i can i guess....They want me to drop the claim. I cannot although this has gotten me really down and depressed and i am so tired that i dont want to worry about it, but i must, so i need some help as no counsel are in my area that will talk to me.

I go to the second opinion doctor on May 11th.

Need help here. Thank you, Loretta
