I have had lyme for a little more than 5yrs now & I had the bizarre symptoms for 3yrs before I was diagnosed. Tried abx for a total of 6mo. & nothing happened. I could no longer tolerate the abx especially if they were not working. For a while it seemed like my symptoms were tolerable but now I'm starting to get more worried. I can tell my brain & heart are being effected. I have weired headaches & serious brain fog & confusion. My heart beats irregular & sometimes it starts to beat very rapidly even when I'm sitting still. The stabbing & shooting pains are now not only in my arms 7 legs but in my brain & every inch of my body. I will see my MD next mo.after not seeing her for more than a yr. I dont know what to do. I'm just so worried & depressed. I just need a shoulder to cry on.

Hi Terry~ I'm sorry you feel so rotten.Who and how were you diagnosed with lyme? The pain can be almost unbearable at times. It sounds like you could use a doctor's appointment sooner. Hang in there. I will pray for you tonoght. ~jackie

Hi, Terry. I posted on the medical side, but I also wanted to tell you we are praying (my whole family) for you tonight, too.

We are believers and prayer has seen us through so far. You are not alone. I hope you get some good rest tonight knowing this!

You have to switch ABX to find the one that works for you.

7 legs leaves a lot of legs to hurt!!! Ouch!!

I meant laugh out loud as in, LOL, not at loud. haha.

But I also wanted to let terry get back to the seriousness of her post. It is serious when we feel this way and I acknowledge that for sure. I hope you can find some way to hang in there. I think I may have known you from back then,2001, terry. I used to post here as TRAILS but I forgot (hehe) my password in my lyme free years.

Still praying for you. We hope you're doing better soon.

Sometimes my daughter has been very near the end of her rope as well, with her illness.

I hope you can see a doctor soon about your new symptoms. I know the clinic you are going to.

You might try calling to get on the call back list for a earlier appt.

They get cancellations sometimes.

Is there a doc nearby that will hear you out for the cardiac/neuro symptoms while you wait for Dr. J?

Can Dr. J recommend or coordinate care with a physician in Oxford for you? He may know of someone that is open minded.

We will pray that something sooner opens up for you! Take care.

Terry, you still there? How are the heart and head symptoms today?

Were you able to get an earlier appt?

My 10 year old daughter finally had the "correct tests" done yesterday for lyme at the same LLD you see.

(You come to Huntersville NC, right?)

We will get the results in a few weeks. The NP said that my daughter seems to have lyme disease. She is very symptomatic.

Wow, yesterday I was relieved to finally know after 9 months of pain and exhaustion for my daughter that it was lyme.

Today I am sad and afraid for her, because of this board I now know what kind of fight she has on her hands.

She has a strong will. God gifted her with that, knowing she would have to someday use it to defend her life against these elusive spirochetes.

Hope you are doing better. I just wanted to check in to say we are still thinking of you.

Terry, please don't give up. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 16 yrs ago and tried everything from A-Z to get help. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with an infection in my heart with no explanation as to what caused it. Last year I heard about Dr J in Huntersville and his amazing work and had to wait 2 months for an appointment, however, I was able to get one earlier due to a cancellation. He diagnosed a bacterial infection and neurological problems just from his initial evaluation. Needless to say the lyme test came back positive along with a co-infection of babesia plus I was told I had lyme in my heart and kidneys (that explained the heart infection) I have now been on abx since June 30, 2004. Here, almost a year later I am in more pain than ever which I attribute to herxs. Recent test shows the heart and kidneys are clear now for which I feel fortunate. I certainly know how you feel (Am I going to die). Sometimes I wish I would die rather than suffer with this disease, however I keep fighting. I have cried a river of tears from depression but to me the worst part is the brain fog and not being able to even function. The reason I am telling you my story is to encourage you not to give up. Continue with the abx and keep all of your appointments. If one abx doesn't work, tell your PA and they will try another. My PA rotates abx and scheduling for taking them every month. I know they have my best interest at heart. I can't say enough about the clinic and Dr. J for their work. Just hang in there, this is a terrible disease and it just doesn't seem fair that anyone should have to suffer because of a tick. Don't let it beat you.
