Went to the movies tonight with my kids-saw the new animated movie "Madagasgar". It was funny!

But 5 minutes (or so) into the movie, the animals in the zoo are talking about breaking out of the zoo to go to the "wild" and they were talking about getting on the train at Central Station. All kinds of ideas were popping up. Out of one of the animals mouths came "we could go up north, to Connecticut!!" and then one of the other animals said "no! that's where there's Lyme disease!"

Or, something very close to that, but Connecticut was talked about as "the wild" (I guess compared to New York's Central Park Zoo) and then when the other animals nixed the idea of going to Connecticut, it was because they had Lyme disease there!

Wowee-zowee. These little media zingers sure make you sit up and take notice, I tell ya!

The movie is playing in town. How is it? I was thinking of giving it a try. I haven't gone to the movies since the last 3 times when I had to leave and couldn't sit or lie through all of the movie.

It's good that they "realized" that going there was NOT a good idea, due to Lyme. But it's bad in the sense that it strengthens the concept that Lyme is only found in the North East.

Glad it was mentioned though.
