My son does not have his lab testing from this last year with his local llmd. We have each visits's notes/plans but not the lab reports.

We should have them make copies to take????

Yes, you should get the former docs to release all med records to you. Either go there, and sign for copies to take with you...or have them faxed to the LLMD before the apt. Sometimes it helps to have the new doc request this info for you from the old doc.

he and his staff are very nice, compassionate and extremely efficient, expediant and all together professional.

i'm 27 and i've seen a few patients (though usually the place is empty) in thier 20's there so she shouldn't feel uncomfortable.

there are a few really good restaurants near to his office too.

Place has NEVER been empty (rather the opposite) when I've been there, nor has there been a particular age range.

Problem is, the closest Southwest hub is BWI, so I drive to Baltimore to catch a flight. If you have figured out a better way, could you please email me?

As far as gathering information for the appt...Dr B's office usually sends out a new patient packet in the mail with request for release of medical records forms, blank calendar pages to record a daily diary of sx severity, list of medications currently being taken, etc.

I know from experience that Dr B will carefully review any medical records and lab tests done prior to your son's appt, and consider that information when he determines treatment course and which tests to order.

He will not automatically reorder any tests that have been done; any tests that have been done at a reliable lab will be helpful. Even tests that you think may not be signifigant can sometimes be helpful, so I suggest you gather as many medical records as possible, and have this information sent ahead to Dr B's office for review.
