I've been exchanging e-mails with a number of people on here so I thought I'd share some great personal news. I just met with my LLMD and things are looking so good that we scheduled an appt to pull my picc line this afternoon. I can't believe how exciting this is. It's like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... Yippee.
Now I just need to find my golf clubs.

Congrats. Be sure to spray those golf shoes with Repel permethrin! And stay out of the rough.

I will be going back to oral antibiotics (eventually). However, my LLMD has suggested/offered to let me stop EVERYTHING for 2 weeks. I'm excited to see what I'm like sans drugs. One of my real frustrations has been trying to figure out which symptoms are Lyme, which ones are Yeast, and which ones are side-effects of antibiotics.

I went off IV last summer, and just want to share that I went into intensive cleansing at the time.
Don't know if that is right for you, just sharing that that seemed to really help with yeast/med residue issues, and nutrient defficiencies from meds and poor absorption, and I had allot of signs that things were clearing. (intesitines, liver, kidney and GB)
I also started high dosing of virgin CoConut oil for yeast at the same time, and signs of yeast cleared with all these efforts in a couple of months. Mine had become systemic, 3 species on pcr.
On IV my head kept clearing and Bb was taken down considerably, but I felt like I was shoveling sand against the tide in these other issues. I too, wanted to begin to weed out what symptoms were from yeast and other obstacles.
Many overlap, others were definately Lyme specific.
Best to you, Mo

Good morning Steve,
I'm so pleased that you are making such grand progress in the right direction! YIPPEE!
It IS exciting to have your line pulled, and I hope all went well with that.
I do believe that a short break is also a really good idea to help clear the body. Best of luck with your continued treatment.
Melanie

Considering how sterile the process was when the line went it, the reverse was pretty surprising. The home health care nurse stopped in our house about 8pm and just pulled it out at the kitchen table. Wiped my arm with disenfectant and gave me a bandaid.
I honestly, was so happy, I almost cried. I know it's not the end of the journey, but at least it feels like progress in the right direction. As everyone here knows, there are so few things to cheer about with LD

Thanks for advice on the cake. I should have read it BEFORE the 4th of July weekend. I thought that Yeast wouldn't be a problem once I stopped the IV abx's. Wow, was I wrong. I've had a miserable couple days since going overboard on trying to be normal. I'm on my way to pick up Diflucan perscription..
Here's another warning (okay, this one may be obvious), but I didn't realize that my arm would be SUPER sensitive to the sun. I guess the abx and being covered for 3 months made it a weak spot. I was outside a lot over the weekend (with sunblock) and my picc arm got severely burned. The rest of me is fine-it looks really strange.
After having almost 10 good days in a row, I've gone steadily downhill since having the line pulled. I'm hoping it's just yeast.
Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm going home to bed.

Two days of diflucan, alpha lipoic acid, and acidopholus and the yeast is back under control - even had a glass of wine last night.
