Hi everyone-I guess I'm a little sore and weary today-I need a few suggestions to push myself to get my leg exercises done-I'm thinking of maybe doing them to some music this time.
Happy Fourth of July!

I work out every day, but I always use music. It is a must.

Hi

I "crutch walked" half-way down my driveway and back again for the first time since Feb.

A bit of encouragement DOES go a LONG way- I have a long driveway

Bless You

Olympia,

Is the PT to help with muscle pain? If so, you may want to consider a muscle relaxer. My PT only increased my pain until I started using a muscle relaxer. Then I could finally see improvement.

Aniek-

Thanks so much for your input-
How to make a long story short-My knee was so swollen-a small cabbage and then the leg itself and of course the pain- on top of it all a bit of a prescription mix-up carbatrol for seizures reduces the effectiveness of doxycycline-so the swelling wouldn't even start to go down-(Finally I.v. rocephin)The problem was too much time to get things under control-Being in bed so much-the list goes on-

I went from crutches to a wheelcair and bedridden-
I have contractures in the left leg- the hip was out of place and knee solidly bent almost completely backward-

P.T. has given improement=
The exercises I do at home are some stretching with heat applied at the same time=

The muscles wasted away so much they can't hold me up on that leg- leg lifts to do-I lost 5 inches of muscle compared to the other thigh- ICKY

Great Tip- I found moist heat has been great for the pain- be it muscular or sciatica- I use of all things 2 liter soda bottles filled with hot water to the top of the label only
(no leaking needed) and not direcly on skin if too hot-
The soft platic is great and it works for cold feet too-

I had an early morning dip today at p.t.=What a workout!

Soon A Polka!

Thanks Again
Olympia
