Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is doing good.
I had my first appt. with my new doc. I feel pretty hopeful. He will be putting me on I.V. treatment as soon as he gets my records. Hopefully the ball will start rolling on Monday and I'll find out when, where and all that crap.

After the last guy I had, geeze. First, the herbal supps he was giving me were.. well, the one bubu called useless. so that's 60.00 for two bottles down the crapper. and the other was too highly priced for milk thistle.. yeah yeah I know.
I know now anyway.

and you all probably knew the ceftin and the doxy the last doc had me on wasn't even making a dent (so to speak). I'm sure I'll be on here monday, once I know what he is putting me on for sure.

Earlier this week I was graced with a phone call from my neurologist ( the chick who diagnosed me with m.s.) I suppose you'd call her a quack. She informed me that she would not fill out my paper for short term

Because she did not dx me with Lyme ( saw that coming) and that I should not have gotten a second opinion for Lyme ( I tested neg with a test SHE ordered) but I should go to the univ. of Penn. for a second opinion for the m.s.

She also said that I shouldn't be taking antibiotics & treating something I don't have because tests give false positives.

ya know, I'd really like to gather all of the information I can ( the good stuff) roll it all up, and cram it up her pee hole.

Now, the disabilty company said it had to be her that fills it out.. and she won't.
Bitter much??
so, now I lose the disability check.

I tried so hard to stay sweet on the phone.. but I can't believe how ignorant and stubborn she is. AND she has other pts
I am so angry..hopeful for bubu though

I'm just going to dismiss her.. and when I call to cancel my appt. with her I'll let them know I can't afford their stupid co-pay.

I have to fax something to dr. b and ask them to please please please send mt records to dr. bubu. other members on this site have reported some resistance (lack of better word) when they tried to get their copies. Except in one case where the pt. was dismissed. Hopefully there won't be any issues..I doubt it.

Also, In three short weeks my Grandmom will be coming from Wisconsin to live here so I can take care of her. Lots to do before then.

I'll try to post more often and let you all know how I am.. noticed I didn't make the troll list- hahaha. Well, maybe next time (sigh)

I hope everybody is good.. take care

-Kimmi

YES! we missed you! Just like we miss black flies in the summer!! hehehe

Tell that Ms Knowitall that treating folks for "MS" when they don't have it is VERY dangerous too, since they often treat with steroids and other immune suppressing drugs!

she needs to know she can be causing alot of damage to people!

Glad things went well with dr bubu. Makes me laugh everytime I say that!!

keep us posted, missy!

Hi guys...me again.

Well, one more day and I'll know what I'll be on. Damn. I'm not going to think about it, it'll drive me nuts.

I haven't faxed my request to Dr. B yet, I'm out of ink in my printer, and I usually type things out before I fax because I can't write anything anymore w/out my hands hurting or it becoming illegible past one sentence.

I used to have nice handwriting too, Must have been going to Catholic school.

I hate not knowing anything, not knowing how sick I'll get, not knowing what I'll be on. If I knew WHAT I'll be on, I could look it up and temporarilly ease my mind a little.

I can't wait to see what the insurance co. will say about all this. It's like I'm in a poorly written soap opera ( like ther is any well written ones?) Of course, without the hot cabanna boy affair.........

WHERE IS MY CABANNA BOY??

after all, isn't THAT what we are all asking?

Anyway, I'll ramble some more later...

P.S. Does anyone have pics of their I.V. or port cath thingy they could send me? I tried to look at one last night and had trouble thankx!

hey its your cabana boy! just kidding - just wanted to get your blood moving!

i hope you like your new llmd and you have some of your concerns addressed.

i have been on the ceftin doxy regimen for 11 months, but have an appt with a new llmd in Aug. Boy, i just can't wait, i think i will be shocked.

i have had nothing but bad experiences with docs for the last 6 years, hopefully things will change, for the better, for both of us soon!

Als,

Hello cabanna boy! Does this mean upon my arrival on Lymenet I'll have one of those fruity drinks with a little umbrella waiting for me?

Good luck on your appt in Aug with this new guy, Please keep me posted.

11 mos on the doxy ceftin combo? How's that workin' for you?

I hope things change for the both of us too. I feel okay right now, I'm hopeful towards this Dr. I have. I think maybe that's the first step, not having a crappy Dr.

Well, gotta eat something. There was no sandwich next to my big fruity drink, so I should split.

I'll be back soon,
-Kimmi

Hey everybody,

Well, called the dr. this morning. Apparently I have to wait until next week when he's back from vacation. I guess he didn't get my records in time.
I thought waiting the weekend was going to suck! ugh!

I do have good news though. I spoke to my short term company about my benefits and the guy told me that I can have my statement filled out by my new dr.,

Which will also have to wait until next week! The monetary benefits have been suspended for two weeks now. I wish I was told the right thing LAST week. That could have prevented the whole ordeal with that neurologist.

I found the pictures of the port-a-cath.
It's a great thread, very descriptive.
Annie explains alot and she has great pics too! thankx Annie!

Well, I guess I'm kinda in Limbo this week then? There are still a few things I have to try to get done before my Grandmom comes here. I still don't know how I'm going to do it.

I hope everyone is having one of those better days! I'll ramble some more later!

My poor husband is next to me sleeping and with the pee hole cramming I laughed out loud and startled him. (I'm on zith/mep/arte, so in his sleepy mind, I could have been crying hysterically.

Anyway, are you going to get a PICC line or the other? Let us knnow how that goes. Ilene

Aliyalex,

I am happy to have made you laugh!
tell your husband I'm sorry!

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what this guy is going to do. I heard good thing about the port-a-cath though.

But the whole surgery thing kinda freaks me out. If that's what I end up getting then most of the concerns I had will not be a problem.

I still have the rest of the week to look up info on the alternative ( regular i.v. in my arm). I'm thinking the port will be best. I'm going to mention it when I call on Monday, that may be what he already has in mind.

okay,I know what zith is ( I think) , but what are the other two?

I'll keep you posted!

ALSLYME: where's my damn drink!

I'll ramble more later, Kimmi
