Hey all,
Just thought I'd let you all know that she had a stress test this morning, and she was able to do 75% of the test.

They wanted her heart rate to reach 170, and it got up to 173. She felt like passing out - so they said that they had enough info. So they let her stop.

We don't know anything as far as the test results yet. But, I'm glad she was able to complete the test - last time she had a lot of pain.

Hi art,
How old is your daughter?

I'm glad she was able to complete the test.
Give us an update when you get the results.

We're concerned about both of you.

Hey All,
We got the results from her stress test today - and everything is normal. Which is great news. She gets her 3 week monitor off on Monday.

So...I guess all of her heart symptoms are from the lyme... Our LLMD just changed our treatment - and this is when her heart started really acting up more than usual.

I Have Lyme Etc, cbb & NP40,
Thanks for all of your responses. She is 18, and I wonder about the babesia question too - we all have a lot of the babesia symptoms....Hmmm

My 18 yo daughter has lyme and ehrlichia, has cleared the babs...Two days before her high school graduation she had chest pains, racing heart rate...

They diagnosed her as having pericarditis...EKG did have a little ST elevation, but that's not so unusual in teens.

She was on high dose Motrin for inflamation of the sack around the heart, pericardium...After a week of this her chest pain came back.

I gave it some thougth and asked if it came after she took her meds ( I was out of town that day)..We realized that the high dose motrin was causing the pain...

We stopped the motrin and added high dose fish oil and her pain never came back again.

I don't have a clue if this is what you are dealing with, but thought it might help.

I know what it's like to be a mom of an 18yo with these diseases. It's hell. It's much easier when I am the patient. I've had all these bugs for years..When she was diagnosed I was crushed.

I'm on your team, Mom..

Hey ArtnSoul, I am glad to hear that your daughter made it through and that she gets rid of the monitor tomorrow.

I hope this info helps her LLMD, now that you think the treatment is the cause of her heart palps. Maybe he can taylor her meds to her needs better, keeping that in mind.

Hope things are looking up soon for your family. Take care.
