August 17, 2004 I was diagnosed after 1 1/2 years of searching for a reason for my symptoms. Still looking for the cure date!

After searching and pushing the 'Lyme possibility' for over one year, my date of finally knowing would be May 5th 2005.
Started abx May 14.

Hoping a year later I'll have more good news to share...

February 27, 2004. I wasn't officially diagnosed, but I got the call that my doctor wanted me to come in ASAP because of the results of my most recent blood test...and I only had a Lyme test outstanding.

It was also the same day I applied to law school. And my applying to law school was a weird over-achiever reaction to a misidiagnosis of fibromyalgia.

15 days after pulling the deer tick off.

2 years later, still out of work and totally disabled due to Lyme, Erlichia, and Babs. Now treating Bart, hoping it is the final answer.

Mine would be Febuary I guess? I had an original diagnosis of May 1990. Didn't know much about Lyme then, treated for 3 weeks and did OK until 1992. Got sick again and wasn't diagnosed again until Febuary 1994. So I guess I have 2?

My 5 yr anniversary of being diagnosed is this month!

I've had Lyme for at least 46 yrs. Had I not moved to Missouri, I don't think I would have ever been diagnosed. I would be taking steroids, as I was seeing a rheumy who had previously prescribed them for me. UGH!!!

9th year, April 1996. Undertreated w/1 mo abx. Symptoms came back and have been on and off abx for other issues.

Bit June 2004, Twice. Abx for 1 month. Hung on until Nov when I started serious treatment and am improving with more recent abx combo.

Diagnosed October 2003 - had it for 39 years - since I was 3yrs. old - with a strange rash. (Drs. never saw it before, I was very sick - also had red swollen knees)

My daughter - diagnosed Oct. 2003 - had it all her life - 18 yrs.

My son - diagnosed Oct. 2003 - had it all his life - 17 yrs.

First possible symptom - one of many to come October 1996
First Lyme Blood Test August 2000
Test Results Lost until November 2000 - Started Treatment February 2001
Better 2004
Relapsed again Fall 2004
Begin More Treatment As Soon as Certified

Well, I may have even been born with it. I was a sickly child. I know for sure that around age 8 I was exposed to large numbers of tick bites almost every weekend.

This was in the 50's....before Lyme was discovered.

Bit in Summer of 2003

Asymptomatic until april 04 sick from then until my diagnosis

May 2005 diagnosed w/lyme..

June 20th started first treatment..woohoo

So it took them about a year and a half to figure it out.

Problems for 7 years.
Family friend figured it out in 1/2005.
Officially dx 2/2005.

Treatment started 1/2005. This has been 8 months of bliss!!!!!

Diagnosed with lyme and Babesia in Feb of 2004......Babs infection definitely Sept of 2003......

May have had lyme for 10 or more years to due declining health.

Been out of work since Nov of 2004 and now "retired".....at 45......

Probably contracted it in 1986.

DX 1989, treated heavily for Bb, lots of "cures" then relapses. Worked FT and went to school at times through most of it. I was a wreck.

Starting March 2004, finally dx and treated for babesia and bart, as well as Bb. What a difference! Had to quit work in 2003, but now I'm very close to going back. (I know I keep saying that, but it's true this time! Really!)

Moral of the story: TREAT THOSE COINFECTIONS!!!!

Sick since July 2002, unofficially diagnosed by the owner of the local FEED STORE March of 2004. Self medicated, etc.etc.

Formally diagnosed March 2005.
