The EKG and blood tests gave no indication of a heart attack but they were continuing testing.

They gave her nitroglycerine which relieved the pain and were to monitor her throughout the nite.

She was also given morphine but had a reaction to it.

Please continue praying for her.

She will see her LLMD this afternoon to discuss pain meds, as she has been in a lot of pain.

I'm praying for you! My 18 yr. old daughter has the same problems - very scary.

She's been in and out of the hospital with heart attack-like symptoms, complete with chest pain, left arm pain, nausea, etc. - all the symptoms... She has the racing heart rate as well.

They (the ducks) never found anything - so we are guessing it is her lyme/herxing.

My sister in law has a condition where the vessels to her heart basically collapse.

She was having heart attack like symptoms for years (her doc chalked the pain up to panic attacks). Finally, while driving, she got chest pain so bad she had to pull over.

When they got her to the hospital, sure enough it was a real heart attack. And may have been little attacks in the past.

I need to ask her what that condition is called. It took specialists a little while to finally figure it out.

I must go see my LLMD this afternoon because being sick is apparently my career.

I do NOT want to go, as I've never been more exhausted in my life and I just want to go to sleep. I'm kind of concerned about driving...but I guess I'll take the 'back roads' so I can only drive about 30 mph. (Gee - I should be leaving 10 minutes ago!)

After appointment, must go pick up bday cake for hubby. Yes, I must smile and sing happy birthday to hubby, go out to dinner and hope to h*ll that I don't fall asleep in my plate....and then I shall crawl my @$$ into bed and just DARE anyone to wake me up.

More exciting details will be forthcoming.

(To the poster that suggested I might have finally had a 'good' experience at the hospital....hahahahahahaha! The doc told me from the beginning:

"Well, I may not be able to tell you what is wrong with you -- but hopefully I'll be able to tell you that it won't kill you."

Now does that sound like the beginning of a 'good' hospital experience? )

To the first statement....

To the second....sounds like a duck my mom encountered once in the hospital! I'll tell you about it when I call you.

Really comforting dr, huh?!

Hubby also had a bad experience with Morphine once. He went to ER early one morning with bad GI pain and they gave him 4mg IV Morphine which he had never had before.

It made him more agitated and didn't do anything much for G.I. pain and nothing for tremors or loss of consciousness episodes. Of course the ER docs were out of the room when he passed out on the cot and they didn't believe me.

Went home and I took a nap. Back to ER by noon. Hubby woke me up and told me he had swallowed his entire bottle of sleeping pills on purpose (Ambien) which never worked for sleep.

Thankfully this was the 4th and final psych admit. All this was before any antibiotics, but we did have Lyme diagnosis (some positive tests) which hospital doctors didn't believe.

Thankfully hubby doesn't have many pain problems, but it seems to me like Lyme patients frequently have adverse reactions to narcotic type pain meds and definitely to numerous psychotropic meds and even seizure meds. All of these meds directly act on the brain which is already messed up from the Lyme infection and whatever neurotoxins it produces.
