Our daughter, Lori, has chronic Lyme disease. She is doing better but we still need to fight this horrible disease. In 1996, we searched for answers to the fears we were facing about Lori's "unknown" illness and we found the Lyme Disease Network - LymeNet. Their work is a terrific source of information and comfort especially to the newly afflicted or misdiagnosed patients who have unanswered questions. Lori's story is at: http://www.angelfire.com/nj/lorib/
The non-profit Lyme Disease Network, http://www.lymenet.org operates entirely on individual donations and is responsible for the LymeNet series of services available on the Internet since 1994. It's absolutely necessary that we support LymeNet to continue educating the public about the prevention and treatment of Lyme and other tick borne diseases.
Thanks to the LymeNet Flash Discussion Board, http://flash.lymenet.org we've found friends who truly understand that no one is immune to these diseases, are caring and willing to help victims understand these diseases.
We realize LymeNet can not survive without our help and we are asking you to please join us in making a donation to LymeNet at this time. Please ask your friends and relatives to join in our fight against these diseases. We hope, with all our hearts, that you can and will donate. We MUST keep LymeNet alive and running. Let's hope that this year will see the beginning of the end of Lyme and other tick borne diseases!!!
As in past years, we will post our goals and progress on the LymeNet Flash. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of our organization. Donations can be made via PayPal by clicking on the ``MAKE A DONATION'' button, on the upper left of the LymeNet website. Checks made payable to The Lyme Disease Network, can be mailed to the address below.

Lou, Angela, Tom and all the others who keep Lymenet going day in and day out. You have been there for so many and in return you sometimes get gratitude.
So I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. Lymenet is my lifeline is a scary Lyme world.
I've already sent my donation and was as generous as I could be.

Lou, I can certainly relate to having a child with this disease. It's horrific to say the least. Amazingly though, children are tough, they recover for the most part.
How is your daughter doing today ? I hope all is well. Nothing infuriates me more to see children suffer with a totally preventable disease, because of negligence and out right condemnation by the medical community.
With God's blessings I sincerely hope that your little girl is much, much better today.

She told me the other day that there are still problems. For instance, when she gets nervous, her mouth pulls down. She still is very tired but when you have little children, they keep you on the go.
Let's put it this way...she's nothing like she was when we first started going to the doctor. At that time she was white and ghostly, couldn't work and was always in the bed.
Now she's got a full time job as a teacher, is married and has two children.
Thanks for asking........ Love, Angela

Just read Lori's story. My daughter has been suffering for years and we could relate. I also have chronic Lyme.
Thank you so much for all that you do for us. I am sending a check.
I also wondered, is Lori still on antibiotics? Does she stay on the same ones all the time at this point? I am into my 5th year of abx and starting to see it as a permanent thing.

Thanks for your concern about Lori. No, she isn't on abx anymore. She doesn't see a LLMD either. In my heart I think she should. But, Lori is 35 now and has to make her own decisions. I try to tell her what I read here...what all of you post...but sometimes she just doesn't seem to want to hear the "truth". I think it makes her so afraid.
Again, thanks, Love, Angela
