My LLMD has offered that to me also....after 5 yrs of orals. He said he has several patients on whom it "did the trick." My only hesitation has been that I'm feeling pretty good! [except for my recent infection from surgery]
So....I don't have any specific advice....except that it might work!

As the parent of a recently diagnosed 14-year-old who has been sick for about a year with neurological symptoms, I want to say that the insertion of a PICC line and administration of IV Rocephin was far easier than I feared. I was terribly anxious about it. But all went smoothly. She does not like needles or medical stuff, but seemed untraumatized by the procedure. She was sore at the PICC site for about 5 days, but doesn't complain about it any more. (She's on her second week of treatment.) The administration of the meds has been a breeze. No side effects so far and her first labs came back normal today. Now, we have only to wait and pray for a speedy and full recovery.
