I have just been newly diagnosed with lyme and my husband and children potentially have it also.

Yesterday my Mom called asking me to bring something to her house. knowing how forgetful I am she asked me to put it in the car right then. With a sleeping two year old on my lap i assured her I would do it later.

In her Mom voice she nicely asked me to please write it down. I told her I would but that wouldn't do any good because I would forget about the note! She then suggested I tape the note to the door.

I said ok but still having the two year old at last a sleep and too tired to carry her to bed I stayed on the couch with her. Not wanting to really annoy my Mom and forget I called my husband and explained that I needed him to remind me the next day.

At the end of our short conversation he said Ok I'll get it but please remind me tommorow because I'll forget!

What a mess we are. This morning I had two errands to run in town and some people to visit. I asked my seveen year old to help me remember to go to the library and pharmacy. She replied Ok Mommy I'll try. Then, Mommy we need to write that down I can't remember both. How so you spell Library?

I think maybe we should all stay home! At least It isn't far to go to the kitchen four times for one thing. Either that or I need to buy a huge supply of sticky notes. Oh but then I would have to remember to read them!

LOL Im not laughing at you but laughing because I can identify. My mom was diagnosed with Lyme back in 1996 and I had allready had it like 6 yrs by then.. My memory is aweful and hers wasn't doing too well either so there were times where she would say something like Ok , I can't forget to do this or that and I'd say I'll remind you to which her reply was ok you'll remind me but who's going to remind you to remind me? LOL....

I can really relate! Pat me on the back for actually remembering to read the scriptures in church this morning!

At least twice now, I've had someone turn around and quietly call out my name, because I was scheduled to do the readings, my name was in the bulletin, I had read the scriptures ahead of time at home....THEN I SIT THERE LIKE A DUNCE WHEN THE TIME COMES!!

It's like I need to put a sticky note on the back of the pew in front of me or something!!

Yes a few weeks ago I burned an entire pan of bacon. The rolling smoke was the first thing I noticed, Cleared out the smoke and then though ok, I'll make sausage.

after that burned to a crisp. I sweetly suggested to my husband that it would be better to go out for breakfast or lunch at this point.

he was out working in the yard so we left and returned an hour later his only comment was oh did something burn in here. I wanted to respond yes but at least it wasn't the house!

A friend of mine, who doesn't have Lyme disease, calls herself and leaves messages so she won't forget to do stuff later. I just can't bring myself to talk to myself though! :-)

sweet pea--I do that and then am disappointed that it is me on the phone and not my twin sister--we sound exactly alike!

Am always asking my kids to help me remember and they are sick too! I feel sorry for them that the pack leaders are sick as well as the. Poor little things--that can't feel very secure!

That is funny, Linda. It would be weird for me to hear my own voice, talking to myself.

My other half has ADD so I can't ask him to remember stuff for me. Hey maybe I should leave messages on his voice mail (we have different phone lines). :-)
