I posted a ? in medical questions before but was wondering something else.
Has anyone had a very long recovery period with relapses? My fiancee has had lyme since 93, it went misdiagnosed for a while and he has been battling it since. This is his second relapse and it has knocked him down, can not even go to work? Any one else have this problem? Any advice? Also anyone have joint pain that is all over the whole body? They say that with lyme sometimes arthritis is just in a few spots but his is all over????

I don't have any personal experience with a relapse after recovery - but I have heard of others who have experienced it.
I was sick off/on for over 25 years -- but there were times that I felt just fine - but I still had Lyme - just didn't know it.
As far as joint pain all over - I have had pain in just about every joint in my body - and it moves around a lot. One day my knee will hurt the most, the next an elbow, or my hips. Sometimes most joints hurt at the same time.
I just try to stay on top of the pain with my pain meds...
All my best,
