My wife had her annual mammogram last Friday AM...on our 17th wedding anniversary. Now remember....we found out she had breast cancer on our 15th Wedding Anniversary.....
They found something suspicious and she then had a follow-up ultra-sound on Tuesday.
We are VERY concerned about this....please...I do believe in prayer....and yours are needed.
She is THE bread winner here...and we are only 42 years old, with girls that are 12 and 11 years old.
Man...what next?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....read my post in Medical and learn the rest.

Dear Trout,
You and your family will be in my prayers. I was praying last night for us on lymenet, and wondering if HE knows us by usernames.
I'm sure of it. I would think if the ultrasound showed something, she would've been notified shortly after the procedure,?. Our local hospitals have a MD read them right after and will notify you that day of the results. I hope and pray this is the case, they didn't find anything out of the ordinary to notify her of. I had a scare like this six months ago. Prayers your way.

Trout,
My sister had a similiar scare--it turned out to be something--but not cancer--something growing on her chest wall>
I am getting her to have a thermography test--a level one thermographer takes a picture of your breast/body and from the heat radiating off doctors can tell if you have something "growing." Cancer creates heat because it grows faster than other cells. You have to have two scans before the doctor can start making any diagnosis--but for someone who has already had a scare--I think this would give a lot of reassurance. you can find a tumor much quicker than with a mamogram.
Older sister had a lump and docs kept telling her to ignore it. She had thyroid cancer (which causes higher risk of breast cancer when they radiate the thyroid). She had to pitch a fit to get a biopsy and it was--cancer!
They have used thermography on race horses for decades--but the AMA wouldn't let doctors use it on people until recently.
I hope I explained this all correctly--I'm not a doc--just a sick girl.
The doctor I used is in Asheville.
