Who Kimmi?
Chuck P Adams?
I just posted this to that post... LOL:

CDC also said the use of Thalidomide was safe

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and withdrew this after being proven to cause birth defects in unborn fetus'.
I don't know if I could trust them after that. Besides the outbreak of Lyme disease in the 1970's was sudden and rampant in Lyme, Connecticut. Since then the rise of this disease has taken the lead over HIV.. So how come?

if only ticks can spread it.. I am only browsing for information that will explain why my entire family test positive for this bacteria.. and why a pathologist told me that my husband was found to have it and his DNA tested normal and his son is now following his health problems which killed him at age 42...

Something is NOT RIGHT With any of this.. and the CDC does not say the tests are accurate yet the Pathologist listed 6th his causative factor as Lyme Disease.. after using fluorescent staining to detect Borrelia burgdorferi present in the blood.

The Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria is also cousin to the bacteria; Treponema pallidum, which causes Syphilis. This being true, Treponema pallidum, being blood borne, and Borrelia burgdorferi also being blood borne, how is it one is limited to spread via a tick and the other is spread via body fluids. Have you done your own research on this disease. or are you standing behind a standard that someone set for you . There are many medical journals now that dispute this theory that it is only passed via a tick.
Just slightly puzzled again as I stumbled over this post in a browser search...

Yes, that's who I meant.

at least from what I've read, other posters know he's full of it.

He's going to hurt some one with all of those myths.

It's a shame.

This looks like most of the SciMed posters....

I've found their posts in places other than SciMed, I've no idea why.

You would think someone would ask this joker why he thinks he knows what he knows.

Old up Chuck is all over spreading his beliefs.
Its bad enough that Dr's dont know what to do but to spread this kind of stuff to people who are ill from lyme is unspeakable. [puke]

Linda......Lyme has been around for ages, perhaps hundreds of years, at least. It was labeled with a name in the 1970's.

What website was that, anyway??

The site is:
www.disease-information.com
I am not familiar with it either. It seems to be a place to discuss just about any disease that exists.
Some of the people posting there are notorious for posting lots of negative and obscene comments at other sites. Worse than trolls. The real bottom of the scum barrel.

You can't tell who actually started or runs the site. It doesn't seem to be moderated.
Anyone know?

well, when first dx with lyme, unbelievable how the way people around you behave when very sick, a new mom, and ....just unbelievable.

i was in very good health when my husband, baby and i visited Nantucket Island in Sept. '91.

after getting Biaxin for a cat bite in my late twenties, and other reasons, i was feeling better than i had for yrs.

got bitten by a real nasty strain on that visit, but told "new mother; still nursing; hormone related." and i believed them.

i'm just too tired to post my whole story, but i have photos of me attendeing to my nursing baby with the "summer flu" from our local pediadtrition - she wrote an article in a parents mag, and when i found a deer tick on my daughter's neck, was told to disregard it. less than 2% of the ticks around here carry the lyme bacteria, and even less it is transmitted to. toss out the tick. we don't even test them".

and even when i found out different, she was uninterested. too busy with "her" life i guess. and she does not have to be responsible. she and her family are living well. her kids are healthy. and.....

oh, i forgot. my husband's memory and organiztion skills were not what they should have been and i noticed this pretty early in our relationship.

he had had "viral encephalitis". i have posted about this before and am really tired now. but, when my husband with the help of other's decided to get tested, his DNA ( PCR ) was pos. no suprise at all to me. not a shock to him, but a suprise. still thinks he is one of the ones who is not affected by this.

more to say, but tired.
