Oh Yuck!

I took it for 4 months and that ended 5 months ago. Think I'm of for babs...still attacking the lyme.

What made you dr. put you on 3 more months? Did you take a test, or your symptoms indicate more?

I never had a test before or after babs, but know from symptoms that I needed it.

Good luck to you, Heatherkiss. I am interested in your answer because I tend to second-guess myself alot lately. [Wink]

Hi H:

I was on mepron for 10 months (sep 04- jul 05), then due to yeast problems I was taken off the lovely paint and in less than a month my headaches came back.

My LLMD kept me off mepron for two months but it was obvious that I was slowly relapsing; by my third month off mepron I was a disaster and I was put on again on the mepron-zithro combo along with alinia this time; I just started yesterday and I suppose to be on it for 3 months.

I tested positive for babs a year and a half ago, when I just got my Lyme dx, back then my headaches, dizzzziness, sweats, constant fever and sleep atacks were disabling me. After my first 3 months on mepron I really improved and I started to function again.
I take hope in the progress that has been done and if I have to take the adorable mepron for life in order to make life liveable again, HEY, I WILL DO IT!

Take care,
Lymster in WA

Hi guys,
I currently am taking mepron, zithro and septra. Just started this about a week ago. It is truly gross (the mepron) and the septra is so big it''s hard to swallow.

Thanks for this topic. I can identify!!

Hope we all get lots better soon.

First time 7 months w/ zith/ceftin/artemisinin...back on after one month off...for another 3months....8 weeks abx break......Then did Ketek/Ceftin/Bactrim and then Ketek/Mino/Bactrim for the summer.

Just started in Sep on Malarone/Ketek/artemisin......who knows how long...It's still showing up in the bloodwork as of Aug....and the sweats are worse now that I'm on Malarone....very stubborn protozoans!!

Any of you tried Malarone?.......I loved Mepron as I thought it cleared things up fast...I don't know many who've been on Malarone.....just wondering.

I did three months of Mepron/Zith, symptoms cleared so put on Malarone. I stayed on Malarone for two months without recurrence of symptoms.

Went to Art about two to three weeks ago and it appears symptoms are returning so back to Meprom. [Frown]

Oh, the "yellow paint!" [lick]

I took it with Zith for three weeks only because the duck, who is proclaimed to be quite an LLMD, is part of that "three weeks and you're cured" crowd, I guess. He had other issues, and I never saw him again. (He washed his hands of me, basically, saying that he could do nothing for me but manage symptoms!) But I digress. [spinning smile]

My new PA put me on Malarone. I'm taking one 250/100 pill per day.

I hope that's enough. I'd gladly go back to the icky liquid Mepron if it would help!

I loved Mepron*)!*)! SO did my daughter*)*)! She was on it for a year or so!

I was on it for 2 years!!!
Artemesia for a year of that-

Remember it won't absorb into your body w/o fat!!
So take it with fatty foods or it is wasted!!!
