PinchotGail and I are going. We'll post all information that we get! Gail even heard that there are some people who got invited to have breakfast with Dr. B! We weren't so lucky but we'll be excellent note-takers for everyone. Hopefully we'll hear about something amazing.

Hey, Gail and Marian...

I have to work a lot of the day on Saturday and have a party that night, but it would be wonderful it we could somehow coordinate a way to meet downtown.

Let me know if you're staying over and maybe we can plan from there.

Neenny,

It is the International Lyme Conference in Philadelphia this Friday at the Crowne Plaza- 1800 Market Street. It will be held from 7:30 am - 6:30 pm

If you 'walk in' I think that it costs $110. Check at the website:
www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Let us know if you go!

Marian

I think the conference is sold out.

You can spot me, because I'll probably be infusing my IV rocephin at some point during the conference. So, just look for an IV bag suspended from a coat rack or light or something high... [Wink]

I'll be looking for you!

Thanks..G & M..I should have known I could count on the two of you to help us out..Drive safely..

No offense to any from Phila, but driving is not fun there..I will censor my thoughts further on that..Since I have to go there about once a month and don't want to be recognized. Ha.. lymemomtooo

Maybe it would be useful to give some background for my interest in the current status of STARI. It appeared to be a done deal that this lyme variant was caused by Borrelia lonestari, found in lonestar ticks. However, this year an article was published that cast doubt on the whole thing. Can read it at this url: http://tinyurl.com/9cer3

My question is whether Dr. M agrees with this conclusion, or did he just supply the samples to be tested? Since Wormser (aka The Worm) and other steerites were involved in the testing, it raises questions as to whether their usual bias/denial has once again influenced the outcome of research. Can they find an elephant in the living room? Or is it truly now uncertain as to the cause? If Dr. M agrees with this, then I will be convinced.
