Hello all, I haven't posted in quite awhile. I think of you all often. Here's a little background: I had?? (have??) lyme disease. I found the tick and had the bullseye rash real quick. I received antibiotics for a couple of weeks and ended up going to a lyme doctor and was put on antibiotics indefinately. I quit taking the antibiotics about 1 year ago because of too many tummy problems. I feel like I will never be the same person I was before this tick encounter but I am very functional.

Now, getting to my original reason for posting.....has anyone acquired a persistent cough with ld? I've had a cough for a year now. Chest x-rays are fine. I always have a stuffy nose too so maybe it's allergies or something. But I just wondered if anyone here has a cough due to lyme.

Thanks - Julie

Sounds like babesia is still with you.

Have you contacted Dr. Hy in NYC?

You might want to try artimisian...

I have been coughing since I caught some weird cold/virus back in March '05. However, I've met others who have been doing the same thing and they didn't have Lyme.

However, I've also developed some weird allergies since I've come so close to remission from Lyme. Going through some NAET allergy elimination program for all that now and hoping the cough is eliminated through those treatments.

I wish I knew how to KNOW you are in remission from Lyme. Everytime I get an ache or pain or get confused or cough I get scared that it might be rearing it's ugly head again. Everytime life gets real stressful, I get scared.

Anyway, if the treatments seize my cough, I'll try to remember to let you know.

I guess the threat of Lyme returning will just always be there, but life has to go on.
