It's great to find another forum full of folks who understand what I've been going through. I've been sick for 8-9 years, the worst being the last two when the neuropathy pain and the kidney infection started. Finally got diagnosed with Lyme at the end of October. Scary as it is, it's great to know the nature of the beast I'm fighting.
It's helped that my family is very supportive, but I've been scared silly ever since the numbness started at the beginning of the summer this year and the neurological symptoms (migraine, confusion etc) started increasing.
Hanging in there and hoping you are all doing the same!
Welcome! I'm fairly recent here myself, having just been diagnosed in August. This site is a total lifesaver....I have been overwhelmed by support and knowledgeable people.
It makes such a difference to not be alone in this. To have the mystery solved. And to share successes in getting better.
Keep hanging in there!
Alison

Mo, It's good to have you here! Like you, I went for years chasing bizarre symptoms and not being able to figure out wht in the heck was wrong.
Once I read about Lyme and tested positive in June, I finally finally felt as if I had a chance!
Alison's right: this site is really the best. Without the information here, I'd probably still be twisting out there somewhere.
There's a lot to absorb; just pace yourself and try not to get overwhelmed. I know I was too Lyme-brained at the start to really be able to read a lot.

Hi MizMo! We have another resident "Mo" so you'll be in good company. So glad you found us. If you've just started treatment in October, you might be in the trenches a bit, but know that you will be working your way out! It IS a relief to know what's wrong finally, isn't it!
Love your signature -- also an admirer of Marilyn, who has clearly NEVER suffered from brain fog!!!
