Hi, everyone:

Just wanted you to know that Dr. L. and Dr. S. in Maryland are NOT accepting new patients. Oh, well, unfortunate for me.

Thanks to the MD state legislature health committee, or whatever their name is, that failed to pass useful protections for docs in that state. They said it wasn't needed because no doc had ever lost a license for lyme treatment.

I suggest that if you feel up to it, you write your experience of trying to get treatment in-state to your rep and to head of that committee.

I had an appointment with Dr L today. They are taking new patients. With their new staff, the wait time has been shortened. Still extremely busy but that is not going to change.

That's interesting. I called Dr. L's office in November and was told by her secretary that she was not accepting any new Lyme patients.

A friend told me about Dr. D. in PA, so I made an appointment with him for February.

I really, really wanted to see Dr. L. because I heard so many good things about her.

Oh, well, I will go to Dr. D. and see how he is and what he does for me.

Thanks for the update.
