There are wonderfull people in this world that let you know the world will be OK because of their kind.
Today the recycle man, who always gives my dog a cookie, came by to pick up bagged leaves. I dont have any but my crazy critter was out in the front yard screaming at him as he picked up the 20+ bags of leaves stuck in the snow in the yard across the street.
Off he went up the street to get the rest of the curb side leaves. On his way back he stopped at my gate, got out, and gave my maniac dog her cookie.
Here is a guy doing a thankless job made 10 X more difficult by the frozen ice and snow but yet he still has the heart and time to stop and make a little noisy dog happy.
Restores any fading faith you have in mankind doesn't it. Now you know why I have affectionately refered to him as "Cutie" for years. He's probably die of mortification knowing the old lady who belongs to the dog thinks of him that way. I wont tell him if you dont.

Sofy, that's a neat story.
Coincidentally, I was just thinking, 'That Sofy is a very cool person.'
I was thinking that in reading your response to CantGiveUpYet's return-to-work post.
You have such a marvelous attitude. One where instead of spending time lamenting what is lost, we look ahead, or even just look AROUND, and see what is to be appreciated!
Thanks for the reminder that you don't even have to leave home to do that...!
