Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts ... my wonderful guardian angels. They have certainly helped. Baby Julian Michael is now 8 weeks old and thriving wonderfully. He is a regular at Seattle Children's Hospital ... my son is very impressed with their doctors and considerable testing equipment.
The Dr's know that the small hole in Julian's heart has closed and that the larger hole is trying to fix itself (thank you God). He still has the leak in his heart valve and something that showed up on his EKG that they are watching carefully.
Because he is thriving so and his bad breathing episodes are further apart and he is always pink, they believe they can continue to put off the open-heart surgery that he needs.
Originally they were trying to get him to three weeks old so that they could perform the surgery. But because he continues to thrive (thanks to all his LymeNet guardian angels), the docs are thankful that he can get a little older before any surgery.
Thank you again for all your blessings ... he continues to need them if you happen to think of him at some point.
I apologize for not getting out here sooner with some information. My other son and I went to Seattle to see my youngest son's little family after Thanksgiving .... it was wonderful being able to hold and care for my grandson and tell him all about people all over the country saying prayers for him.
Julian looks at me as if he understands that I bring more than just my own blessed wishes with me. What a precious child.
And, of course, after the trip and still to this day I am so sick ... not being on any abx ... but that is not important now.
Thank you so much for being such a wonderful extended family to Julian.
Love, Deb
