Ok - I keep trying to write a somewhat intelligent sounding letter on behalf of Dr. Jones . . . but, it keeps rambling on and on .
Does anyone have a "guideline" I can maybe use to keep myself on task???
Also, since he has changed attorneys - do I need to send it to the new attorney or to Dr. Jones' office??
Just wondering!!
Thanks, Sherry

Hi, pony!
Sorry you're feeling so scrambled -- I know the feeling. The lawyer has supposedly been overwhelmed with letters, but send one anyway, and keep a copy, in case he asks for it later. Send it to the new attorney, but the old one will forward it if anyone sent it there.
Try answering this for a guideline:
1.) Introduce yourself and your child or children who have Lyme. Add a sentence or 2 about what they were like before Lyme -- activities, personality, intelligence.
2.) Describe how your child is affected by the disease. Focus especially on symptoms that prevent the child from leading a normal life, and symptoms that cannot easily be attributed to other things.
3.) Mention any other doctors, hospitals, or mental health professionals who misdiagnosed your child, or gave your child inadequate treatment, and explain how that may have delayed or interfered with prompt diagnosis and treatment.
4.) Describe Dr. Jones' ability to work with your child.
5.) Describe how your child is doing now.
6.) Close with one sentence about how important it is to you to have Dr. Jones continue to treat children with Lyme disease.
Try and keep it all to one page. I know it can be hard to be brief, as we have been through so much. But too much information, and your message will be lost.
Hope that helps, Shaz
