lpkayak:

Are you feeling any better? Do you still have the burning? Did you find any pain meds that are working? When do you have to go back to work?

Just worried about you and hoping you are recovering nicely. Been there, done that.

thanks for thinking about me. i'm ok. actually i don't have to go back to work. i've been out on disability from arthritis for a year. but the papers the doc gave me said people go back to work in 48 hrs and when i was dealing with that pain i could not imagine going back to work. he insists most people do.

i replied to my old thread to let everyone know how i was. there was some interesting info re: lyme.

-i have not had my lyme pain since i woke up from the surgery
-i have not had my reflux since then either
-doc says the reason i hurt so much is i bruised more than normal due to my history of ibuprofen use
-once i understood the pain was not infection i realized i should constantly rotate rest(sit, lie) and move(walk, pick up house, etc) because what is happeneing is when i rest is it is starting to heal and thenwhen i move i'm ripping it out again-like a scab on an elboe or knee...

he did make me stop the wonderful medicine that took my lyme pain away-you can only take it 5 days cuz it is real bad for your liver-so i'm on tylanol and vicodin for 3 days til i go back to my old standby..ibu. i imagine my normal level of pain and reflux will come back...but for now i'm enjoying being lyme pain free...just dealing with the burn where the ovary is missing.

listen-thanks so much for thinking about me. take care.
