Hi Folks,
Well it's been 5 long years of fighting this urgly disease and I have seeked out the best for 5 years now and find myself in a relapse worst than ever before. I was on Ketek and mepron W/ Biccillin IM every 3 days ( 2.4 Mill) And yes I have had my days of not taking my meds but I was trying to give my body a break for once.
I was on and off IV for over 3-4 years and now have a major blockage in my left subclavian from the port line and poor circulation to the return to my hand.
I'm real tired of fighting and just don't know what and where to go from here.
I'm only 47 and with my life stripped from me I am broke and am now having a hard time again. [shake] [shake] [shake]

Hi there Manw/lyme,

Welcome to our unfortunate ranks.

I have had lyme now 10 + years and have had about five good ones on and off in between.

I've also felt I have had my life stripped from me, and the last few weeks have been especially tough emotionally and physically.

I write my feelings down and don't mince any words. This helps me deal with my pain and anger sometimes so I can try to be decent to others in my day to day life.

Sometimes the words I write are ugly, and I wouldn't want others reading them, but it helps me cope so I do not wind up at Happy Acres.

I assume when you say you've been seeing the best you mean Dr. D. He will help you if you have a relapse from what I've heard said about him. We do not mention doctors by name here because of political reasons.

If you do not have a doctor please go to the upper left side of this page and click on the link for support groups. They may be able to help you hook up with a new doctor if necessary and lend an encouraging ear if you need one.

I am sorry I can't offer you more than a welcome, but I am in need of some TLC myself at the moment. So when I saw your post I thought I would just let you know you are not alone, and welcome you to the board.
